Nariman

Have they heard Stigma?

Aabolee Mali

Guys Lie and Set Me Free Pt2 are connected. He does the same routine of people picking him up and basically in Set Me Free Pt2 now he's finally broken Free from all his inner demons.

yypark

Did you guys know this was jimin's first ever solo song? Besides he was heavily involved in the writing, composing and producing of this song. 😂👏👏👏

Mozart

We want more of Charlie's breakdown of songs.

Noor Sheikh

omg guysss if you love this you should see the short film version of LIE !! it's a masterpiece

Giulia Maia

Sebs comments at the end just fit. They know what fit them so well and thats amazing

Renea Tidwell

Can you react to Jimins song Letter

Swapna Sharma

Now that you've started your album journey, you'll also begin to understand the meaning behind their solos, as everything is so intrinsically woven into their songs & MVs, starting from HYYH.

wangxian love bot

Stop being delusional and go hang out in corners with normal armys instead of your akgae corner where they 90% of the time keep bringing jimin antis on your timeline. It's not our problem that all you see is weird things, when all I see is love and support.

Sallie

Love this reaction 😊

courtney dring

The first time you guys hear the chorus ben logs off and Seb, malfunctions, 😂

Grecia

Awesome reaction and thank you for the preaching of all seven cause each on their own is a powerhouse and together? Truly avengers assemble

Crystel C.R

Love this reaction! Please react to Serendepity too

Andy OT7

Guys! The music is too lower than your voices. Please could you put the mic also to the music because It’s sad don’t hear it well with you!

Steph

This one is a must too!

LM 🍭🍬

I will watch it again

Ren

someone is always barking

Daeka

Charlie was absolutely on point with his analysis of the change in key! Major key is typically "the happy key" so when the song switches from minor to major, the key switch in itself is the lie!!! AHHHHH

Daeka

One of my absolute favorite songs from Jimine 😌

Penguin Love

Thank you for loving Jimin and not being afraid to show it. The current "fandom" and their treatment of him is deplorable, embarrassing, and just disgraceful. He deserves to see these kinds of reactions. I truly appreciate it!

His the best

yypark

Right! His solo dance clip of LIE, though neither totally formal nor full, is a desperate and stiflingly beautiful piece of pure art many professionals love. Could you guys react to that video clip and his 1st ost WITH YOU a calm and beautiful song?

Sharon

You guys need to get into the BU ( Bangtan universe) . It will explain alot about lie and alot of other songs too.

Валентина Кабанова

Very good song "friends" V and Jimin sing a duet

Jiminluver

Lie is a masterpiece and and the live performances of it are total art. I feel like this song was totally up Charlie’s alley and I suggest he should watch and react to the video “classical musicians react to Lie” because they also had very cool and thoughtful insights about lie and the music and the singing. Charlie is indeed right the song is in minor key and the chorus kicks up to major and so the music is a lie itself

Avalon

This song is so good 🔥 ps sorry to ask again but can your video person make the sound louder or at least more level on the media you're watching? I want to turn it up and enjoy it with you, but because you are so much louder I can't 💜

Zhanna

Loooove Jimin! He has MJ vibe! Our King!

army.syaza

I love love love LIE!!! Its so diff!

Diisy

Love the reaction guys. Would really like to hear the song a bit louder please! 🙏 the balance between trying to hear the song and your excitement is a bit off 🤣

Rina J.

7:45 While certainly Jimin ❤️‍🔥 is more than capable of layering and stacking his vocals, the background vocals in question on this song is from Sumin, (a South Korean singer-songwriter and producer). She is also a co-writer on ‘Lie’. We can give credit when applicable. 😊🫰🏽

min pd

yes, charlie! so so glad you caught onto that “caught in a lie” major/minor key change!! was waiting for that comment!🙂‍↕️ it was definitely made for it to sound that way, so good job for catching it!😁

Corrina Rayson

I literally cannot stop watching this reaction - it's glorious !

Nikki

SMFP2 is the follow up to Lie. He even repeats the choreography of him being lifted in the air to showcase that link. In Lie he is talking about how in his own head he gets and the problems that creates, SMFP2 is him working his way out of that destructive mindset - "raise your hand for the past me". It is actually a trilogy of songs. Lie (from Wings) to SMFP2 (Face) to ReBirth (Muse). If you ignore the Like Crazy english version on Face, that album actually ends with SMFP2 and Muse album opens with ReBirth that sonically links in it's opening to SMFP2.

Nikki

Their distribution label told the fanbase in Australia that we had to get Mic Drop to no 1 on the ARIA charts or there would be no tour. It is almost next to impossible to chart on ARIA when there are no physical copies we can buy. Albums are delayed here on release (or not at all) and we can only buy via itunes. Wings was held in a smaller venue than what they needed for the LY tour, so they wanted to see actual sales numbers in Australia. Most fans won't buy from our local retailers to show that demand here, and a lot of so called ARMY in Australia also won't stream either. It's something we have been trying to change but locally sold albums are very expensive due to taxes and take ages to show up in store. We also only have one physical store to buy from and one major online retailer. There are smaller niche 'kpop' stores but not all of these report to ARIA for sales. Until we can show actual demand with sales and streams, we likely will miss out as they can't trust on faith that they will sell out the MCG.

Amanda (MinggukkieFix)

Icon…superstar…absolutely. Your crash out is completely warranted. He’s amazing and one of a kind.💛

Ellysa Vaj

Perfect reaction to a perfect song. Thanks guys.

Bunny

As Jimin biased, yes Seb, I get it 😂

leat

true bts have no bad songs it is actually a mystery and it+s not because you are bias because i remember i kept getting surprised before i was even an army yet. i kept thinking ok they can´t only have good songs but they do even the b-sides which this song also is. they all feel like a A song

ANDREA ALEXANDRA RUBIO MIRELES

Please can you fix the problem with the chapter 12 of the rise of bangtan??

leat

true kpop is not really big in australia in general but bts have performed there with this song actually. i think it was wings concert they had in austalia in 2017 i think, also in 2014 and they had two concerts one in melburne and one in sidney i just googled it. but they didn't perform there in 2018 for their love yourself tour which i find stange because the tickets sold out in 2017 so that would be a good reason to return but idk. i know they will perform there in 2026 i just know they will visit places they haven´t gone before i think india is a good opportunity they are BIG in india. and they will also perform in brazil and spain. they talked about it for their ONE concert and i think they will try and go there if they can

Vixmo

Based on your other reactions I think you'd love the vibe of Be Mine.

leat

wow i am impressed charlie you really know about music to pick up on the major key switch up. and when you look at the lyric singing caught in a lie once that is playing it´s like the music was made for the lyrics and not the other way around. it is genius

asma -1211

Yes why they didn’t complete the video with the dance practice 😔

Chris

seb hopefully, now knows what it feels like to be a namjoon and yoongi bias here 😹 on top of being an OT7 ofc!

Khaycee Estinopo

Waiting for in the soop and bon voyage continuation.

thank you for this and just wanna lyk I miss reaction to bts in the soop guysssss

Sarah💜V

In the soop today ?🥺

Binu ♡

Background vocals are sung by South Korean female artist Sumin. Sumin also produced and wrote the song alongside Doc Skim. you can see her name in song credits. Also agree with theme of the song and RM explained that each member’s solo track reflected their personal struggles and inner emotions. For Jimin, “Lie” was about the pressure he felt from his own perfectionism and expectations. Jimin is truly a great artist.

Rafa Amancio 🇧🇷🤍

Watching Jimin perform this song is simply amazing🤗

asma -1211

Seb you should know reaction for jimin first then junkook then v 😤

Finally 😭😭😭

Debbie

You don't know how long I've been a waiting for you to hear that!

marcia regina braga vianna

He fell for the lie of insecurity, fear of making mistakes, feeling less talented, incapable, etc., but when he discovered that they were just ghosts in his mind, he was able to develop his potential without fear!

Reema

Please react to inner child song by V 😙

Steph

The ad-libs/background vocals are all Jimin. The general theme of the song is about being stuck in a spiral of negative thoughts. How the inner critic can become a sinister presence in your mind that eats away at your soul from the inside. Jimin is a perfectionist and he is hard on himself. He wants to perfect his body, stage and craft. The lie is that he will never be good enough. The punishment is how he would practice and not eat (to reach his ideal figure) until collapse and tear himself apart in his mind for every "mistake" he made. It's a dark and sinister song- think black swan (the movie).

grace

BTS are popular in Australia! But Australia has a small population compared to other western countries so the hype is smaller. TTRs usual social circles are likely separated from the hype too.

grace

They were selling out in Australia back in 2016. Kpop is very popular in Australia as we have alot of South East asian Aussies since we're closeish countries. Thats why we're seeing alot of Aussie kpop idols recently!

Steph

Finally! This reaction made me happy! Nothing gets Seb fired up more than Jimin does. I appreciated that everyone had a positive reaction to this amazing song. The meaning of the song was discussed in more detail in the Rise of Bangtan episode 14 if you want to revisit it.

Rara_OT7

I love WINGS/You Never Walk Alone, it is by far one of my favourite albums by BTS. Every song just hits and this is no stranger to that album. For me, one the most iconic songs from Jimin

Ruby

Lie was Jimin’ first solo song, he wrote and composed lie, he also had another version of the song the producer posted it on his instagram acc, but in the end they chose this version!

Colleen

Charlie, that was a beautiful description!!! Jimin is my bias and I am so amazed at his talent every day. He is so kind, pure and he sings and dances like the angel he is. To be fair, each member in my eyes has their own qualities and talent that are so above others.

Marcia Tome

JImin é simplesmente perfeito

Hyland

I think they all sound good singing live because when they were young they would sing and run at the same time or pat their chest while singing and i think over time they learned how to move and sing at the same time

Damari Salgado

Mi cancion fav de jimin 💜😌

Ayan

as a jimin bias, i always have the same rxn s u guys when i listen to this track. one of my fave bts tracks ever!! so glad u finally listened to it on the channel!

C S

The Wings album and this song in particular is what did it for me. Once I heard Lie, I was hooked on BTS.

Cristine Queue

You need to react to the bangtan bomb of lie solo dance

SAKURA

Thank God the real spectacular human who is JIMIN prevailed.

haley!

I thought that this song drew from his own personal experiences? Same with Taehyung's song, Stigma. To this day, people still don't know what the song is about. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought he always said it was based on his own experience(s) and never expanded upon it further, leading me to believe it's an extremely personal song. I always viewed Jimin's song in the same light.

putridl

this is so iconic & i could understand why u guys cannot catch up with the lyrics cause it's theory heavy, lie is part of wings which is one of bts album that contains their BU theory heavily

Sónia Pereira

JIMIN the GOAT 💜 His voice, his dance, his presence….🙌 he is the Best 💜💜

Rav

I would definitely love more yoongi or joonies songs but this song is iconic

Cassandra

Omg yall missed the wings short for Lie 😭

Blue

I loved seeing that reaction too

Blue

I saw that video and I'm right with you there. The support that they give to one another and when they didn't realise that he was doing it live lol I have nothing but respect for all 7 of these amazing guys

One of my favs songs!

Vixmo

There's a really cute video of Jin, RM and JHope watching him perform, while they are backstage. They are so lovely and supportive to each other. Jin is hilarious in his comments, RM is so complimentary and JHope is studying the dance intensely. All giving him the love and support he gives them back tenfold. Love them.

Dniceworld

JIMIN is Amazing!! And thank you to Charlie for voicing his music knowledge. I'd love to hear from him more. His appreciation of the musicality is enjoyable to watch.

Love your reactions! It's time to dive into the Bangtan Universe - you're missing so much. Lie ties into Jimin's story. Try Into The Bangtan Universe Wormhole, on You tube, she has a beginner's guide. Also read the webtoon Save Me.

Aparna

This song scratches my brain the right way, it'll always be in my top 5. I wish you guys did the explanation for this cuz Jimin was a part of the composition and every part of this song was so intentionally crafted. 💜

Butter Cup

Originally I had one bias, Suga. This song gave me 2 biases, Suga and Jimin. 💜😂 Still one of my favorite songs by Jimin. 🥰😍 Please, please react to Ostukare by Suga and Jhope as well as Friends by Jimin and V (it's not the same song as V's friENDS). Thanks for another great reaction guys! 💜😊

Deborah Camara Kaplan

Loved this reaction—thank you! Charlie broke it down perfectly, and Ben & Seb’s faces were exactly me on my first “Lie.” Jimin turns the song into theatre—clean lines, live-vocal control, and that slow slide from innocence to obsession. 💜💜🫰🏻

REM

LIE is about Jimin's personal struggle with what his company wanted him to present himself as to the public, they wanted Jimin to be this whole bad guy/hyper masculine and rude persona that just wasn't him and they kept pressuring him and he had to hide who he really was and act like that and lie to himself and to others for a long time.

Lully

💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜💜🐥🐤🐣🐥🐤🐣🐥🐤🐣👏👏👏👏👏👏 I love Jimin

no matter how many times I hear that song - it always does something to me. Thank you !

Phyllis St. Pierre

Ben, you have had the best reaction I've seen when he first hits the note for the word "lie". The way you "passed out" was perfect! I've seen a lot of reactors, and I like yours the most. 👏🏻👏🏻

KarenH

Ben, just wait until BTS comes to Australia and all of their concerts sell out in 5 minutes. You will be eating those words that Aussies don't know BTS! 💜💜

Donna

Lie is in my top 5 of all BTS’ songs. This song fits Jimin SO WELL. It’s his song. No one else deserves this song. Charlie gets it with the note progression. Classical musicians reacted to Lie and they said exactly that. Jimin himself knows how dark this song is and it was challenging to perform because of that reason. I will give anything to see this live. There’s behind the scenes of his choreographer telling him how he needs to play it down a bit so the background dancers can keep up. Jimin said, no, tell them to do it like that. And yes, Seb. I feel ya.

Eyvazova Ceyran

BTS "I'm Fine"(Please reaction)

LM 🍭🍬

Oh my god please watch when Jimin collaborated with his best friend Taemin Jimin sang Lie and his friend sang one of his songs then they danced together and at the end of the performance one of the fans filmed them leaving the stage together and Jimin fell everyone thinks he fainted just write Jimin and Taemin song Lie https://youtu.be/CEURku1dTfU?si=bNP50rcjhHN9niZU You will really love it on my responsibility

Nikita M

You guys should watch this stage mix of Lie. https://youtu.be/Li1tqnc1N90?si=5H1ST0eSSanU6P5x It is 10x better in my opinion and the ending guitar segment and dance adds a lot to the performance.

Mimikoo1108

Great reaction!! Lie is iconic!! Jimin is so incredibly unique! Please check out more of his dancing on the #ThisIsJimin Bangtan Bomb...its incredible!!: https://youtu.be/2aSinq-1CNI?si=lO0QAfLgO-rJov2m

karla adam

You got it right with the minor and major key. Great catch . Jimin's birthday is coming, if you want to check some of his solo stuff, just songs without performance I would recommend: Be Mine, Alone and Face-off in this order.

Ella

yeah he is just born to be on stage

Jiminscherry 🍒

Jimin is incredible. He’s really a real superstar!!

Martina Pirro

just so you know, I thought BTS weren't popular in my country either. I haven't heard about them from anyone. But then, when Jin came to the Milan Fashion Week last here LITTERALLY EVERYONE was there. So maybe that's the case in Australia too idk

Martina Pirro

Charlieeee your music knowledge! GIVE US MORE PLS

one of my favorite jimin songs <3

my jimin

our jimin is the best! he deserves all the good things in this world! legendary performance <3

luna

arguably his best song. this era of jimin was sooooo good. i genuinely feel for anyone that didn’t witness it in real time. yall missed outttt 😭😭. the way he portrays the emotions of lie thru his dance is insane. u can feel the agony and the restriction when he’s begging to be let go and freed. just insane. god i love him so

khloee

pleasee react to all the wings solo songs! for example this was jimins, do stigma(again), begin, first love, MAMA, reflection, epiphany!!!

Nadine~~

I keep playing this music for a week when i discovered this song 😭😭😭😭 I love wings album so muchhhhh 🫶 Guys, you have to watch short wings video...

LM 🍭🍬

Jimin in the song "Lie", he dances like a tired and hurt person and his voice is like the pain himself talking😭😭😭😭💔

LM 🍭🍬

No, no, I can't take it anymore. It's really tempting.😭🫦

Chimchiminie

Jimin has shared that his solo song "Lie" from BTS's 2016 album Wings is deeply personal, reflecting his struggles with the pressure to conform and hide his true self. He described it as a cry for help, expressing the pain of being trapped in a facade, which ties into themes of temptation and deception explored in the album's narrative. While he hasn't confirmed specific details like struggles with dieting or appearance, he emphasized the song's emotional depth, showcasing his vulnerability and growth as an artist. The haunting, orchestral-pop style was a bold step to convey these complex feelings. And Seb, you are correct. The chorus and harmonization for "Lie" were primarily handled by Jimin himself. As the lead vocalist for his solo track, Jimin's voice dominates the song, including the layered harmonies and the haunting, melodic chorus.

Chimchiminie

I saw the notification in the car as I was leaving my church and decided had to go home fast to watch it. Yay!! Thank you for reacting to my bias' 'Lie".

Mrs Kim Seok Jin

I feel you Seb 😆

Jiminn lvr

finally a jimin dedicated video yay ! 😻

I agree with Seb cause I was also like that when I’m getting to know them, like I know they are talented but still WOW and shit keeps on getting better the more you listen and watch them 😭

Another amazing song choice you guys and as expected, Seb’s reaction always gets me excited! Thanks for finally reacting to this. Hope you could get to another 3-in-1 reaction (lyrics, dance practice & live performance) with their song ‘Best of Me’.

Yeaaaah

BTS is not popular in Australia? They held concerts in countries where they were popular. 👉 In 2015, as part of The Red Bullet Tour, they performed in Sydney and Melbourne. 👉 Later, in 2017, during The Wings Tour, they also went to Sydney.

Lie has a special place in my heart

yypark

At last! Thank you so much guys! So good to see you enjoy the song and his singing. Could've been so much better if your talking didn't cover his singing voices especially because jimin tries and usually succeeds beautifully in expressing various delicate emotions with his voice. And there is a better version of live video that serves the song better... which is the stage mix. And one more thing if I may Since jimin doesn't yet have any huge concert video or something like tiny desk concert(requiring much longer time), could you at least watch jimin introduction video 2025?

Do you think guys they’re ready to deep-dive into BU after reacting to Lie? Uhmm, but I hope they finish all of Bon Voyage and In the Soop first.. 😊

Carmen Ramirez

Wow, thank you so much for this reaction! I’ve literally been waiting for it since the very start of your channel 😅. If this song were a character, it would be The Queen. With it, he set the bar... this is what we call the Park Jimin standard.

Yes please! 💜

Here's the moment https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9_c_czODWSg

Actually after that live, Jimin cried because he thought he didn't sing well and his voice "cracked". The members often referring to that moment

Sonja

Seb is such a mood when it comes to Jimin. ☺️❤️ By the way, Lie was co-written and co-composed by Jimin so he was very hands-on with this masterpiece.

Nata

Jimin voice😩😩😩 Please react to jhope tour “Hope on the stage”🙏🏻 final day

it's a artist called Sumin. she also included in writing this song. it's confirmed in album credits. and yeah adora is the one usually do background vocals for bts.

ada

Charlie you got it!!! Spot on!!! Wow! Classical music reactors love breaking down the arrangement. The haunting orchestral intro, the minor to major structure building tension, the 6/8 tempo vs the usual 4/4- so many layers to unpack. This is probably one of my top 3 faves of Jimin’s solo songs. Docskim who produced this song also produced one of my fave RM songs Wild Flower. Jimin participated in the writing. The song reflects on him being hard on himself, his inner conflict, doubting and blaming himself. The dramatic arrangement matches Jimin’s emotional vocals and performance. This is one of the songs that captivated me deep into the fandom hahaha. So happy you reacted to this. A wonderful surprise. Thank you!

Karina

Please you should watch this special video from Lie practice, you could appreciate more the dance https://youtu.be/IUhmH7Qqkso?si=Mq5RUqc8EuO9zBNq

Background vocals are sung by South Korean female artist Sumin. Sumin also produced and wrote the song alongside Doc Skim. Both are producers and writers, who has works on bts songs. you can see her name in song credits.

Amanda Michelle

Awesome reaction, guys! Jimin is my bias too and probably most of ARMY's if-not bias, then bias wrecker. LOL. He is not only insanely talented in singing and dancing, he's the most compassionate and thoughtful human being I've ever "known." The level of emotional intelligence in this man is on another level. I know y'all have seen "Set me Free: part 2." But you have to also watch the making of, AKA "shoot sketch." Here's the link to both the MV (in case you want to refresh your memory) and the shoot sketch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UaywgAqcLxI and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MnK-Ahuu3uU . And don't worry, you didn't miss a "Set me Free, part 1" by Jimin. He only called this Part 2 because Suga had done a song, years ago, called "Set me Free." You should also watch the "shoot sketch" for Jimin's work in "Black Swan." It's a close-up look at his incredible work ethic...and he looks amazingly BEAUTIFUL in this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xMfp2jcK52M

_Minee_

“Lie” is a total banger but it also has really sad background. Jimin did this song when he was struggling mentally and was going through a hard self conflict and dysmorphia. So this song is really emotional for Armys💜

Heena 🫧

Jimin is truly a man with a limitless potential

Morgan💖

Thank you guys for this so much💖!!!!Jimin is so amazing, his vocals, his dancing, and just his overall style is so amazing. I'm going to say this every time y'all post a solo video, he's just 1 of 7 members. Every single member is so talented and amazing at what they do. Jimin is so talented and I just love hearing him sing every single time. He never disappoints, never! Thank you guys again and I can't wait for the next💜

The lie is his perfectionism. 💜

God my ears😭

That haunting "Uhhhh...a" in the background is most likely Adora, that has done a lot of vocal contributions for BTS songs and also for Yoongi's solos (for example SDL). You guys saw her when you watched the D-Day Tour final because she was a backing vocalist during the last concerts

11:45 we lost all 3 of them with Jimin's effects 🤣🤣 look at their eyes gone wide and Seb totally looks speechless there. They have fall even deeper in the rabbit hole of Jimin's effects and i love it 💜

EleP

thanks for the reaction! Jimin was born to be an artist! He is wonderful and incredible! Jimin's song Letter live please, his live vocals are gorgeous!

Mads 💗

There is a short film for lie, along with the other 6 members, theres a wings short film for each of their wings solo tracks, i recommend you guys watch them, they arent necessarily Music Videos, but they incorporate a tiny bit of the track along with an expansion to their storyline. You may of seen some clips of the in the rise of bangtan. If you do end up reacting to them, make sure to take notice of small details within the shortfilms, as they may appear in other members short films and make more sense of the pairings of the members. Also i know you guys dont tend to do Kdrama reactions, but i would 100% recommend watching Begins=Youth, its a kdrama based on the BTS universe storyline, all the 7 characters within the show are representative of each BTS member, and they all have the same last names and similar names to the bts members, even having similar personalities, and you may be able to pick out some references to different BTS MV within the show and songs. It would be a cool thing for you guys to check out eventually.

People should watch this reaction video and they will know I am not a crazy person who talk alot about BTS ……………😂😂💜💜💜

Please watch Jimin song 'Closer than this' https://youtu.be/zzKV_T9ybe8?si=asWq_RRr_mILzmlH Jimin created this song for ARMY before enlisting, and it was released 10 days after he joined the military.

NNN

Hi guys. I'm an army since 2015, and I really really want to recommend you about the BTS Wings storyline (which is not about their real life story, but a concept of their albums). It's so interesting because army came up with many theories about it at that time. Since you guys already reacted to blood sweat & tears, lie, stigma, boys meet evil, etc, which is part of the BTS Wings storyline, I recommend you to watch this in order for understanding and deep dive into the story. And sometimes you might think why in "rise of bangtan" series there were clips of circle symbol being sliced/mixed in the video, it's because there are theories about that. Trust me, it's mind blowing and gets me chill of how BTS and their staff can come up with such story. 1. BTS WINGS Full Era Compilation | Short Films + Blood Sweat & Tears MV Link: https://youtu.be/_FkkW2_UoNU?si=ObWM2fOEsSWvs25E The compilation video includes: • Short Film #1: BEGIN • Short Film #2: LIE • Short Film #3: STIGMA • Short Film #4: FIRST LOVE • Short Film #5: REFLECTION • Short Film #6: MAMA • Short Film #7: AWAKE • Comeback Trailer: Boy Meets Evil • ‘피 땀 눈물 (Blood Sweat & Tears)’ MV • ‘봄날 (Spring Day)’ MV • ‘Not Today’ MV 2. BTS Storyline Summary + Explained | 2020 Update Link: https://youtu.be/2-DEu3ZJtEU?si=ARBsnJhVNVUErosw This is one of the best bts theory that I can find. I know it contains a long video, but I really hope you guys can react to this for better understanding of how BTS albums works. And also, there are videos that you already reacted to (I think you can skip the MV that you have watched). Happy watching guys ✌️💜

Lie is way ahead of her time.. I kept on replying some parts because I wanted to see ur reactions but i couldn’t stop looking at jimin!!! 😭😭

Heather ⁷

Just to let you know that this is not a Jimin solo concert it's from the BTS Wings tour in 2016/2017. The only members who have had a solo concert tour is Suga, J Hope and Jin.

SAKURA

Yes Seb hold on to your soul when you hear this one!

tasmia

Jimin turns Seb into the ultimate yapper lmao the last few minutes of this video was profound in a way. Great reaction guys, loved it! Hopefully you can watch the short film for this along with the other wings solos eventually one day 💜 keep up the great reactions

The one and only regret in life that I have…is not discovering BTS one year earlier to be able to have seen wings tour and LIE LIVE 😫😫😫

Guys!!! This is from Wings, and this entire album has INCREDIBLE production and really cool and unique melodies. It's also the first time all the guys had solo songs on an album. This is the album that has Blood, Sweat and Tears, Seesaw etc...you HAVE to do a full album reaction. J Hope starts with a solo (Boy meets Evil) that is incredible too and has a Great music video. The whole album is about temptations. Also regarding what Lie he's speaking about, he's alluded to how he was starving himself and working out constantly to maintain this hyper masculine, jacked image when they first debuted and then after this album came out, he was able to relax more and lean into his softer side, and he wasn't crash dieting and focused on being healthier overall. So that might be what the Lie refers to, however as with all BTS music, it's a universal theme that anyone can relate to. Also if you guys ever watch their Break the Silence documentary or Bring the Stage (cant remember which one, you'll see how stressed and nervous he was about performing this live and he was incredibly hard on himself)

FengYue 𖧧͘ 𓈒𓏸 ☪︎

This is MUST!

Loren

Just love your reaction guys. Hope you get into their documentaries soon. You'll love them even more. Burn the Stage, Bring the Soul, Break the Silence and more.

'LIE' is one of the solo tracks from BTS’s WINGS album (2016). What makes this album so meaningful is that each of the 7 members has their own solo song, and each track tells a piece of their personal story. Jungkook’s ‘Begin’ expresses how the older members became his source of strength, Jimin’s ‘Lie’ portrays his inner struggles and temptation, Jin’s ‘Awake’ reflects his quiet fight against limitations, V’s ‘Stigma’ reveals guilt and pain, Suga’s ‘First Love’ is a heartfelt dedication to music, RM’s ‘Reflection’ shares his search for self-love, and J-Hope’s ‘MAMA’ is his gratitude to his mother. Together, these solos let us see each member’s heart and journey, making Wings one of BTS’s most personal and artistic albums.

Priyanka Paul

Yes jimin 😍

j_y_o_t_i

Guys, you were doing MV reactions in chronological order—please continue that as well. And please keep going with the ALBUM reactions too, I’m really looking forward to the next full album reaction (BTS’s 2nd album)

Charlie was spot on with the major minor comment! This song is so good! THANKYOU FOR THE JIMIN CONTENT!

This is one of Jimin's best solos. On Spotify, it remains the most-streamed solo song from BTS's WINGS album.

The thing with jimin I always think his solo work is such an artwork like a piece that could be on a theatre or smt like that, maybe because his dance skills are different from most idols… And there’s so many layers on his craft. He’s forever my favorite artist

Bunny

Loved it but so sad you didn’t watch the short film

Paula

Yes 🙌

Bia

Charlie is right, the song is set entirely in a minor key, which is typically associated with a darker mood. Yet, in the chorus, where he repeatedly admits to being caught lying, the harmony shifts to a major chord. This contrast makes the lie sound bright and pleasant, which is ironic, since that brightness is itself a kind of deception. The whole song is contradicting, adding onto the concept of lying. What a masterpiece!!!

Nergis

Finally Mochiiiii💛

⭐️

i’m so glad charlie caught the key change from the prechorus to the chorus omg learning that changed my lifeee ITS SO GOODDDDD 😭🙏 also fun fact jimin directly participated in the creation process he’s the coolest ever
