It was an intensely close count, and some of the votes almost didn't make it in (sorry to anyone that had issues with the site around the 1st of the year, Patreon was having issues). Luckily, we a winner, with a total of 15 counted votes, the Tattered Battlefield is our next theme. For the Tattered Battlefield, I foresee a mega map, divided in the middle, with makeshift fortifications on opposite corners. The foreground filled with winding trenches, small bunkers, parapets, rubble and debris, blast holes and wagon wreckage. The alternates will be Dark, but they will have a magical element to them: magic flares lighting the battlefield, sigils placed in the bunkers, arcane hazards here and there. For extra art assets, I will see about getting custom ballistae and catapults along with some weapons and extra battlefield debris. If you have ideas for other things that should be included, let me know in the comments below.

oops, I deleted the reply, meant post this in reply, my bad. Feel free to repost your comment. I hear ya, I will do my best to give it some unique flare; those are some great ideas, will def include some plateaus, stairs, rubble, mud banks... the inspiration flows as I write this. I can make it more like a ruined area that maybe once was a city, temple, etc, but is now a tattered battlefield. It could be really 3D and dynamic with all the ruins mixed with marred lands. I honestly appreciate the criticism (you have definitely driven me to create something much better than your average battlefield.) Cheers

I'll try not to make the base maps too generic, for the alternates, I'll spice it up with the effects. Was even thinking about having some arcane ruins in the center to battle over.

I like it, banners are a good idea, can do eagle and a few others. Always like to do symbols in the maps too. Good looking out!

I'm also envisioning like a special banner of some kind. Like idk if you've ever seen that movie the eagle, but this banner of great important planted in the Battlefield that one side is trying to secure to save the honor of their house or something.

This sounds so good. An idea for extra art could be additional Battlefield cover? So we can place new fortifications in places as desired.
