Choose the Map Theme for January 2024!
🕑 Added 2023-11-30 02:21:27 +0000 UTCIt is time once again to start thinking about the new year, and with that brings a new map theme. Thank You to all the of the awesome Patrons in the community, especially those that have stuck with me throughout these past three years. Your choices and helpful comments have ensured that we produce top tier maps, unique themes that everyone can use! I feel like this community is on the forefront of online gaming, you all have a knack for knowing the current atmosphere. Often we come up with a theme that is followed up by others a shortly after. (Have you seen how many new Yggdrasil maps out there lately?)
I am excited to see what everyone wants to begin the new year with. We have several carry-overs, and I've sprinkled in a few new ones. So curious, will it be an outdoor scene, a cityscape, a temple or some ruins. Do you have any ideas for a map set? Let me know in the comments below (or on Master Maps Discord). Some of the best sets are inspired by this community!

Awesome ideas Dan! We are so doing this! If the 4 Seasons is next, I'll be sure to work in the Ceremony Arena to the mega-map (I can totally see it as the central portion, a main attraction). If there is another theme chosen, I will definitely do a bonus map of the arena to make sure you have what you need for your game. Cheers!

So if the 4 seasons thing wins - i have a suggestion/pseudo-request. I have an upcoming boss fight. TLDR - player is a monk, going on a 'learn from the old masters' of a lost art journey; the masters are beastmen, all. Mostly irrelevant, other than its one of many, each one a spectacle so this has me really excited. The idea for inspiration would be thus: the area is a battle the monk spirit calls the Ceremony of Four Winds, so all of that to say that it has divisions, equal in size and/or shape, in opposite directions. either a round arena pied in quarters, or a square arena in smaller squares or triangles(+ / x). Beyond that- i think any further suggestion would be too niche for anyone but me, and might hurt the map's quality if leant more toward me specifically xD. But hey, If that happens to inspire your work, neat! if not, excited regardless; you always knock it out of the park.
