Concept sketches for the next doll!
🕑 Added 2024-08-14 10:21:41 +0000 UTCOur next video is going to be Sasha from Bratz! We already started working on her, but we're still not sure which pants we're going to make haha 😅
Because Sasha is all about music and dancing, we decided to feature some music references in her outfit.
First of all, it's "brat summer" so we've got Brat by Charli XCX on her top. Then, Sailor Moon inspired hair accessories because of an iconic Megan Thee Stalion cosplay. And I also want to include a "Not Like Us" by Kendrick Lamar text somewhere on the pants because the Kendrick vs Drake drama was something that black rap hadn't seen for a long time.
We also want to make her on roller skates! Some pieces of the outfit are inspired by my favorite black rollerskaters I follow on instagram.

[Barb] I already made some roller derby concept sketches 🙈 I've been thinking about other items to go with the roller skates and protective gear and a cute derby outfit was the first thing that came to mind (on a pear girl preferably 😍). Sadly it is on the side project shelf as our channel is dying right now and we need something popular to boost the stats 🤡

I like 2 the best. The Baggy pants just fit her vibe a lot. The distressing and holes in the pants break up the colors nicely and fit with the top which also has "holes" (if that makes sense).

I don't have a knowledge about current music dramas and trends and especially rap culture, so I can't comment on that, but I really like the designs and how it incorporates green + red combo without looking "Christmasy"! And for "Sailor Moon Hair" - I am fan of show and I seen that cosplay, but she had blonde wig then and did not look very similar to your Sasha? And now that I am looking at this hairstyle - maybe start with this hairstyle, but instead of straight up Sailor Moon reference made it a bit inspired by frog eyes? Because "Funky Frog". And cartoon frogs/emojis often has this shape 🐸🐸like head with buns

I'm torn between 1 and 3. I feel like the baggy cargo pants in 1 are almost a throw back to black rap in the 90s and 2000s (when bratz were popular) and they fit the rest of the outfit really well. The bottom design in 3 also fits the outfit well and gives the vibe of an edgy teen who can do sick tricks on her skates and doesn't want her pants to get in the way.
