🕑 Added 2025-08-23 03:12:24 +0000 UTCSaturday 18 July 1995.
After a couple of months in development, the ZAGE website and game forums are finally ready for launch—and in fact, they’ve already gone live. The official website is accessible at www.ZAGE.com, while the dedicated forums can be found at www.ZAGE.com/forums.
Inside the ZAGE website, there’s a variety of content available. The homepage features the latest releases from ZAGE Games. There’s also a “List of Games” section that showcases every title developed and released by ZAGE, complete with detailed information for each one. Another section links directly to the online forums, which open in a separate page, and there’s also a dedicated ZAGE history page.
All of this was designed and built by Zaboru himself during his spare time. The website’s interface, while simple, remains visually appealing and easy to navigate—striking a balance between clarity and charm that makes it inviting for users.
Zaboru grinned. “Heheheh… finally, it’s done.” He leaned back in his chair, staring at the glowing screen in front of him with a deep sense of satisfaction. All the late nights, coding sessions, UI revisions, and brainstorming had finally paid off. The digital doors to ZAGE's universe were now open to the public.
He had planned everything down to the minute. The ZAGE website ads were scheduled to air during prime-time TV slots later that night, perfectly timed to capture both gamers and casual viewers alike. It wasn't just a soft launch—it was a bold declaration of ZAGE's starting the online era
Zaboru couldn’t help but feel a surge of pride. This move marked the beginning of something much bigger—a truly connected community, a bold new chapter in gaming culture that would reshape how fans engaged with the worlds they loved. For the first time, gamers wouldn’t just play alone in their rooms or talk with friends at school—they could now connect, share, and grow together in real-time.
Soon, not just Japan, but the entire world would be able to come together in one place to talk about their favorite titles, characters, storylines, and strategies. It would be a digital meeting ground for passionate fans, curious newcomers, and creative minds. What once felt impossible was now unfolding in real-time. The spark Zaboru had lit would carry across borders and time zones—and this was only the beginning.
On same Night in Japan.
Endo let out a sigh. He had no new games to play—he’d already beaten them all. Sure, he could head to the arcade, but everyone was busy, and frankly, no one was strong enough to challenge him anymore. So for now, he was just relaxing in his room, reading his latest issue of Hakushensha Weekly Shonen Shocks manga, enjoying a rare moment of quiet that didn’t involve gaming.
But suddenly his TV tokyo chimed a familiar tune “ZAGE” Endo widened! “What!? Is there something new released for ZAGE? Why didn't I hear anything about it?”
Endo turned his attention to the TV, curious about what ZAGE might be announcing. Onscreen, Zaboru appeared and spoke enthusiastically: “Hello everyone! I have an important announcement—ZAGE finally has its own official website! Visit www.ZAGE.com!”
The screen then displayed the website’s simple yet elegant user interface, a stark contrast to most clunky web pages of 1995. Zaboru reappeared and began explaining the site’s features.
“First of all, you can get a sneak peek at the latest and upcoming ZAGE games!” The screen shifted to show the 'New Releases' and 'Coming Soon' sections, each with colorful cover art and teaser blurbs. “Or maybe you’d like to explore detailed pages for our existing titles?” The screen then transitioned smoothly to feature-rich pages for Super Mario Bros., Sonic, and Diablo, each filled with screenshots, character bios, and gameplay tips.
“Want to read about ZAGE's history and some fun behind-the-scenes facts?” The screen shifted to the 'ZAGE History' section, which was packed with fascinating trivia, key milestones, and never-before-seen photos from early development days. It offered fans a deeper look into the legacy and evolution of ZAGE as a company.
“And now, our newest feature—Online Forums! Here, you can ask questions, share cool discoveries, or just chat with fellow gamers from around the world. Want to make friends who share your passion, even from across the globe? Then give English a try! If you only post in Japanese, you might miss the chance to connect with international fans. Overseas friends—how awesome is that? Let’s grow our community together and learn a bit of English while we’re at it, hehehe!”
Zaboru then grinned. "Well, that’s all for now—BUT! Don’t worry, I’ll keep improving the ZAGE website. You can expect even more exciting features in the future!"
The segment concluded with a sweeping image of Earth slowly rotating in space. Then, the ZAGE logo burst into view with cinematic flair, accompanied by a deep, echoing voiceover: “ZAGE ONLINE ERA—It starts now!” The screen faded to black, leaving only the website URL glowing at the bottom, sealing the moment with impact.
Endo’s eyes widened. “Whoa! A website!? And a forum! That’s so interesting!” The excitement in his voice echoed through the room. While he wasn’t exactly a tech wizard, Endo had learned to navigate his PC well enough—and thankfully, he owned a reliable one. Over the past year, he had grown especially fond of PC gaming, and ZAGE’s recent releases had only deepened that interest.
The thought of an official ZAGE website, filled with news, details, and community interaction, made his heart race. To him, it could be a gateway into something really important. It meant staying updated with game releases, learning about his favorite characters, and maybe even meeting other players online.
Without wasting a second, Endo rushed to his desk, powered on his PC, and listened to the whirr of the modem as he connected to the internet. His fingers flew across the keyboard as he typed in www.ZAGE.com. He leaned forward, eyes glued to the screen, thrilled to see what awaited him on the other side of the loading bar.
“Whoa, the website’s design is so... simple. It doesn’t hurt my eyes at all,” Endo said with a hint of surprise, leaning a bit closer to the screen. The layout was clean, the fonts were easy to read, and there weren’t any flashing banners or chaotic pop-ups—just smooth, focused design.
The color scheme was soothing too—dark backgrounds with crisp white text and subtle accents in ZAGE's signature colors.
Curious, Endo hovered over the menu bar, exploring each tab for a moment before finally clicking on the “List of Games” section. He was eager to see how many titles ZAGE had catalogued and what kind of extras might be waiting inside.
He explored the list of games and was surprised by how detailed the information was. Each character was thoroughly explained, and Endo found himself completely engrossed in reading about ZAGE's titles—SpongeBob, Ninja Gaiden, Choujin Sentai Z-Man, Fist of the North Star, and many others. He loved it. There were so many interesting things to read! What especially caught his attention was the full biography of Ryu Hayabusa, his favorite character. Endo dove deep into the content, completely absorbed in the experience.
Many users began exploring the ZAGE website after the ads aired, just as Zaboru had anticipated. The response was overwhelming—gamers of all ages, from across Japan and even overseas, flocked to the site out of curiosity and excitement. and curently The “List of Games” section saw the most activity, as users pored over the detailed content Zaboru had crafted.
Fortunately, the site was fully prepared for the traffic surge. ZAGE had invested in its own dedicated servers—robust, responsive, and fully operational—all hosted in Japan. Thanks to careful backend planning and load testing, everything ran smoothly. Even during peak hours, page loads remained quick, and no crashes occurred. Zaboru had not only created a hub for fans—he had laid the digital foundation for ZAGE’s growing online community even though the website itself was still in its early stages of development
