oh wow that is unfortunate. Glad I was still able to enjoy this movie but that would've gotten a different reaction from me if those translations were accurate.

There are some pretty bad parts in the translation unfortunately. When in the ferris wheel, nishimiya doesn't say "I don't hate you" she says "I hate myself", and the scene afterward ishida says "I want Nishimiya to like herself". Some important context

So funnily enough most people actually hate Kawai the most. During the beginning when they're about to sing she pretends start singing which is why Nishimiya started early. So she was actually the first person that started to bully her but she acted like her hero
