It’s not explained to well but the sword saint isn’t just a title it’s a divine protection which basically just makes you a god at using a sword the current one is Reinhard(red haired boy) divine protections are just something your born with crush being able to see lies is a divine protection

They didn't explain it in the anime really but if I'm not mistaken I am pretty sure only dying to the fog itself erases your existence? Been awhile since I read that part so I could be wrong
