In soccer there are some cases in which a player is intentionally on the bench so they can be subbed in later as a “joker“ to change the rhythm of the game. This is what Ego initially wanted to do with Shidou because he’s such a wildcard and loose cannon. But I kinda see those qualities in Barou aswell, so that might be the play?? I really hope so because he‘s been sidelined in this season and I‘d love to see him show off!
