I'm currently working on the sound effects for car damage—still needs some tweaking, but it already gets the idea across!
Hammer Time
Today I've spent a bunch of time hammering glass, to record the sound for my SFX. (I yoinked the glass panes from some cheap picture frames I bought yesterday.)
I will find small pieces of glass in my apartment, for years to come.
While doing so, I also wore this ridiculous outfit, to protect myself from debris...
Safety first. Sense of fashion, second.
You can hear some of the results in the video above, as part of the car damage sounds.
Shattering glass sounds will also really come in handy for the building damage SFX, which I hope to start work on, next!
