All Hail Gek!
🕑 Added 2025-05-08 15:00:09 +0000 UTCIt's DUNGEON MAY-HEM and we're posting four dungeons on the Patreon this month! Some are exclusive to Mystic Adepts, and others will be free. But before we get to the new stuff, we're starting off with ALL HAIL GEK!
All Hail Gek! is a dungeon written for beginners, and it explains itself as you run it. It's a quick and simple tutorial on dungeon mastery as well as a suitable beginner dungeon for new players. It features kobolds, treasure, a mystery, a political plot, a hook into a future adventure, and most importantly A DRAGON! It's a dragon in a dungeon! You can't start off with a better adventure than that!
Granted, All Hail Gek! isn't new, I wrote it just moments before we launched the channel last November. I had promised in our video "You can start playing D&D tonight!" that there was a dungeon in the description, so I quickly typed up a dungeon I've run countless times in the past. Usually from memory, or invented on the spot.
And since All Hail Gek! is a 5 Room Dungeon, it also featured in the description of our video on the topic.
But I thought it'd be a crime to properly start Dungeon May-hem any other way. So, we're posting it here.

Looking forward to running it for my housemates

Btw, I liked the "splitting the party" sidebar. And the imagery of loot spilling out of the mimic when it dies.

Haven't read through the entire thing, but in skimming it I noticed a few minor errors: - On p. 3, "claustrophobic" is misspelled, and "make due" should be "make do". - On p. 6, "draconic" should probably be capitalized since it's the name of a language. Also, your stat block says it can speak Common but *not* Draconic. - Also on p. 6, you say that the dragon can use its breath weapon "on its next turn" when it recharges, but my understanding of the rule is that an ability with Recharge can be used on the *same* turn that it recharges.
