Progress Update #43
🕑 Added 2018-11-18 09:44:37 +0000 UTC Some people thought that was just a joke for the update, but no! There is going to be a full scene with Bojack and Celestia in this episode. It doesn't have a lot to do with Night Trap, but it's going to set some things up! It's pretty good :3Originally I wanted him to be playing the game with them, like a full TBSP episode with Bojack. But after experimenting a little bit, it became clear that it was just not possible... mainly because I have to use voice clips from the BoJack Horseman show, and that limits what I can do with the character. There was a point where I considered going through old episodes of Arrested Development, to see if there were any good voice clips from Gob that would fit Bojack, but then I came back to my senses, and realized that this is a really fucked up slippery slope where I would end up going through the entirety of Will Arnet's acting career just looking for funny voice clips to add to my fake Bojack Horseman soundboard.
So I gave up on the full episode idea and just settled for a single scene. I got Pat to record some new lines for Celestia (Thank you Pat!), and that came out pretty good! Maybe a little bit too good, because it did not mesh together with Bojack's low audio quality (why netflix?). It took a lot of editing to make it all work, god bless RainShadow and his BGM tracks!
There's still a lot of work to be done on this scene, and I gotta finish some stuff with the Bojack rig (kinda of rushed it a little bit for the update video :p). But I'll have more animated stuff to show you guys in the next update!

If it weren't for RainShadow, we'd all have to be breaking apart the 5.1 mixes of the iTunes versions of the episodes ourselves without his help. Or I'm sure someone else might step up to the plate. I just wish someone would do all that work for instrumentals of Daniel Ingram's songs on Littlest Pet Shop (2012).
