Progress Update #100
🕑 Added 2023-06-04 22:58:34 +0000 UTCFinally. Pekora has accomplished her evil plan and captured all of the holocats! I'm kidding, of course, there are many more hololive nekos out there. Eventually every single member will become a cat. 🐈
I spent a lot of time animating nousagis, which was very fun, because they are basically just a blob with a face. Reminded me a lot of Pumpkin Korone. You just have to focus on the main movement of the body and everything else comes together nicely.
I don't want to spoil everything, so I won't show the scenes, but the amount of nousagis became a problem in After Effects. I ended up splitting the one project file into multiple parts to lighten the load, and now things are running a lot smoother.
Here's a better look at the cats. I'm also going to animate them, just a little bit of movement from each character as the camera pans up, it shouldn't be too hard. The really time consuming part was the painting, and that's almost done, I just gotta finish miko and the background. After that I will animate the rest of the Pekora scenes which are all close ups. So if the rigs don't give me any trouble and everything works out, this whole thing will be done by the end of the month 👍

I am really glad you moved to Hololive stuff, all those years ago. You were my introduction to them, Eekum Bokum led me down the rabbit hole and I have not resurfaced. I still love the Best Sisters' stuff and go back to watch them pretty often. It always good to hear progress news from you. The assets here look great, I like how Okayu just doesn't really care, very on brand.
