I made a version of #2 using the Trader Joe's font. Just didn't think it looked as good.

What makes the building a better brand representation? Do all locations look like that building, or is it the font? Why not use that same font on #2?

Very true but in defense of #1, I feel it may be a more familiar representation of the brand. This is a tricky one.
