Anthony’s life fell apart after he lost his vision due to a degenerative disease. His husband left him. He’s lost his will to write. He sits in his apartment just counting down the minutes before he can drink himself to sleep.
Unfortunately, the young neighbor next door thinks they’re friends. But that’s not the worst of it. They’ve now roped him into going to a party the new downstairs neighbor is throwing to introduce themselves. Except no one is going but Muriel after everyone backed out.
Well, Muriel and ANTHONY.

I've started writing as soon as I saw this. Already have fun with Crowley's and Muriel's relationship 💖: "Crowley reached for his whiskey and drained it. "I hate you." "You don't." The terrible thing was, they were right. Muriel had appeared in his life six months ago when they'd moved into the apartment next door, and they'd somehow decided that Crowley's clear signals of "leave me alone" actually meant "please adopt me as your rude friend." They brought him food. They talked at him through the door when he wouldn't answer. They'd learned Von Wiggletush's feeding schedule and had somehow acquired a spare key that Crowley definitely hadn't given them. They were the most happy, irritating person Crowley had ever met, and also possibly the only reason he was still alive."
