Fern Valley and The Nightmare Before Christmas. Many years later, trying to come up with the most horrifying horror I could think of for a fic, I came up with an amorphous Thing that spoke in a human voice and could make itself look somewhat humanoid but was so, SO not even close to human, like an eldritch horror of an earthly origin.

Many of the ones others have mentioned (Land Before Time, Neverending Story, E. T., Brave Little Toaster, All Dogs Go to Heaven, Secret of NIMH, Dumbo [pink elephants], Ol’ Yeller, My Girl), plus Honey, I Shrunk the Kids. My phobia to bees & wasps made me absolutely hate when they were in the grass. My mom & I had to leave the theatre because I was so freaked out.
