I see this as canon! The way Hastur screamed when Ligur was water boarded, and then him wanting revenge on Crowley because of it. Hell is a backstabbing, scratching and biting mess of conflict. Demons don't help each other unless there is something in it for them, and betrayal is always on the table. But Hastur cared.
