Kidney stones are awful. I’ve had them several times. Sometimes they are too big to pass, so you have to get them broken up with ultrasound. Hopefully that will not be the case with your mom. Drinking shots of apple cider vinegar mixed with lemon juice helps.

Thanks for the update! My Mom had kidney stones years ago and it was a very similar situation to yours and very scary! She was able to pass them at home without much trouble so I hope things go well for your Mom too! <3
