A lot of people have been comparing Echo to Finn in season 2, going all crazy looking for Clarke.

also they can't go back in time, they can only go in the future meaning different years passing by in different planets with it being still the current year that they were in when they went in the anomaly like octavia going in skyring 10 years and 45 days in bardo was the same day she ran in and out to Gabriel.

when octavia ran in after dizoya she went where skyring was where she found dizoya and raised hope with her and in there 10 years passed where the people from bardo took them and when octavia when in, she arrived in bardo. In the scene when she says bye to hope in bardo and goes in the anomaly that is the same day she ran out into Gabriel in season 6. Showing that what Gabriel said "you ran in and out but something tells me you were in there longer" something like that. But it's showing that being in the anomaly years, days, weeks or months pass by even if you were in it for seconds like when octavia ran in and out in season 6
