With the release of this pack there will now be 3 possible versions of each food recipe; Off the Grid, Vegetarian, and Lactose Free. Currently I just mark recipes as what they are but now that we have all the new ingredients, traits, and lot challenges coming with the new pack it may be worth taking the time out to make them.
Part of the problem with making alternate versions of a recipe is the time it takes to make duplicate meshes and tunings, and time is one of the things I always seem to be short on. That being said, it may be worth it to explore making at least one variation of each recipe to be able to use some of the new gameplay features if you all think it's worth it.
Another issue I just noticed while I was prepping files for the update was that Baking and Gourmet recipes don't seem to be well supported with new updates. I just noticed that you can't even bake off the grid (which makes no sense to me) but I'm not invested enough in the idea to fix it lol. So this brings up another question, should I be focusing more on homestyle recipes each month instead of trying to make one recipe for each skill (homestyle, baking, gourmet)?

I would say Homestyle recipes if it is faster and easier to do. It's important that you gain enjoyment from your creations as well. :)

with the new pack coming, there is probably going to be enough headaches over issues that seem to come with it all. so i would just label the lactose files and see what happens. cooking off grid is no issue with the eco living pack and there's bound to be some alternative with simple living lot trait. your work is fantastic
