Goooood progress + Apple phone app pay changes!
🕑 Added 2024-08-18 15:30:02 +0000 UTCBefore we get to the progress, I need to adress some things for those using an apple phone to follow the progress. iOS - Apple iPhones are a closed environment. Meaning unlike android, apple has full control on what kind of apps run there and not. That is the reason none of my games are available for the iPhone, unfortunetly (there are some phone jailbreak mechanics but i won't go into that).
It seems like Apple takes things a step further now: charging Applications like Patreon and others a 30% fee. This change will start on November 1st, 2024, basically meaning your memberships will cost 30% more if you use Patreon through the iOS app! I haven't read up on this entirely, but I think Apple does this for other apps as well, seeing how much money they can squeeze out of their market dominance! If I read this correctly, purchases made before November 1 are not affected by this, so this only affects you if use Patreon through the app, stop supporting me or other creators and then come back after November the first (pretty obvious that the best solution is to support me forever :D).
Long story short, if you use the Patreon App through the iPhone, stop it and use Patreon through the phone browser instead. That is what I would do right now if you use an iPhone. I don't know how much backlash there is, but right now I really expect this to happen on November 1!
Ok, shut up about apple, what about the progress?
I finally bit in the sour apple as we germans say and rendered the full club crowded in the heat of the summer.
Results are good, light is pretty awesome. For the inside of the club I cheated a bit, making the dancers as shadows with some glowing eyes (was just too much rendertime and tbh it looks much better with them as moving shadows). The dancing animation for them looks a bit clunky, but overall I really like it! For me, it is awesome :)
I am right now at the last scene happening on the dancefloor, I still have to redo the lounge area and I have to do one scene in the fun area, so still a lot of stuff to do...but it is looking good and I am having a lot of fun with the location, even if the renders are coming along slow.
Yes, that is it for today's update! Approaching the end of the renders for day 4 step by step!
Thanks for your time,
thanks for the continued support and stay kinky!
:)
Please read up on the iPhone app charging thing if you're a diehard apple phone user. I haven't spend much time looking into it myself since I never had an apple phone but it sounds pretty bad and might affect other apps that you are using as well.

ted talk made me laugh so hard, lol :D

Amazing work with the light, I love the contrast of the Neon with the dark figures and the general darkness of the room. (When I glanced over the last pic I thought he was giving them a TED talk)
Darktoz
i entirely agree, we will see what kind of music i can find once i am done with the renders :)

The magic is in the sound and the music, Darktoz! 😎. The same scenes/renders with suspenseful music inspire terror, but with techno music they inspire something more sexual and party-like. Great anticipation, the mystery remains if it will be something pure horror like the basement with the spider or something more kinky like the scenes in the hotel room, great preview! 👍.
Darktoz
thank 2u ;)
Darktoz

Darktoz

Lost Soul
Very nice looks like something out of vampire the masquerade.
Darktoz
thx :)

Look way better already!

I mean its clever and efficient way of doing this and it works especially well with your vampires cause of the dark silhouette and glowing eyes. Even in the hallway scene where they are all fully rendered just having all those vampires follow the MC with their hungry eyes gives off a proper vampire lair vibe.
Darktoz
thank you :)

was good, my parents have a bit of a hard time dealing with the heat but is not a big deal. yes, there will be nah, no blood is spilled, the vampires of blackmore don't waste it ;)
Frank Kuschmann
How was the visit to your parents? Hopefully they are fine. Does your mother bake a delicious cake too like my mom did in the past? Will there be a "bad" ending in that vampire club? But don't spoil anything, say just "yes" or "no". Are the interior and the walls of that club that striking red or purple so that some blood spatters do not immediately stand out - lol?

First message here. Big fan of your work, stay cool and hydrated 🥵. PS : i love your chara designs , especially bellatrix 😅
Darktoz
thx! yes to be honest i like the idea of making an area more crowded with these black shades...might do more of it in the future, we will see
Darktoz
i actually bought a fan few days ago :D it is a small one but it helps a lot so far

I'm glad you're enjoying working on this location, even if it has created some hurdles to overcome. It seems you've found some creative ways to balance the workload and get great results. Can't wait to find out what the "fun area" is. Stay cool and hope you have a fan to help push that hot air away from the PC. 😂

This is looking really good so far. I wouldnt call what you did cheating just being smart, besides i see every other dev do it whenever they do a scene in a crowded area they basically populate it with faceless models that look like store mannequins. Either way great job, this is having more and more a vibe of a proper vampire club, keep it up.
Darktoz
thanks u2 :)

Thank you so much for all these updates Darktoz. You are alone to make all these renderings in an incredible adult game. I think mid September and if not before. Day 4 is coming. Total support Darktoz have a good Sunday.
