Sounds like and interesting set of Macs that you acquired. That will be fun looking into those machines. Thanks for sending your channel info and the invite to stop-by! I'll check it out.

Daniel Cayea

I live about 60 miles south of Montreal, in the Plattsburgh (NY) area, so if you are ever down here, be sure to give me a heads up and stop by. Here is the link to my YouTube: https://youtube.com/@unwrappedlegacymediacomput7218?si=RoOAXZd-XwoVDnu_ Yesterday I picked up an LC3, two 7200's, and a 7600, two of which had highly sought after Sonnet upgrades. Can't wait to see if they work or not.

Hello Daniel. Thanks for checking in on my Patreon. Another vote for the 9500 video. It's performing fairly well! If you are on Youtube, you'll have to direct me to your channel. As for me, I am living near Sarnia, Ontario. More details in my 'Welcome video' here on Patreon. :) Good to hear from you and best of luck on the 649!

A fellow content creator but have been on extended hiatus do to moves. Never realized you had a Patreon until today, so here I am. Will become a paying subscriber after the new year (or if I hit the 649). I voted on the Power Mac 9500, although the ANS 500 is a very close second. I'm currently looking for a 9500 because an ANS is unobtainable unless I do hit the lottery... Hope to see a new video from you soon. :) Which part of Canada are you in?

65scribe

I appreciate you mentioning the G4 Cube video for it's completeness .. wait a minute... I didn't even open it up!

65scribe

You're taking this vote pretty seriously. You'll have to let me know which one ended up winning, Charles. :)

65scribe

Thank you, ReddestDream! I'm realizing that the nice thing about retro videos is that they are mostly future-proof. I actually had severe doubts about the 9500 video before I posted it, thinking it was not even close to the previous G4 video in entertainment value.

65scribe

Congratulations on 10 years to you, too! It does not seem like that long. Glad you liked the most recent. At least I'm still moving in the right direction.

65scribe

Thank you, Tom! I appreciate that you wanted to explain your vote, and watch them again.

Gabe W

Nothing like the Director’s Commentary edition to pad a tape’s runtime!

65scribe

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Gabe! I'm happy you liked the most recent release the best. I'll have to stretch that museum footage even further!

65scribe

Glad you watched the Universal Studios videos, too. If you told me at the time that 1/2 million people would watch it someday, I would not have believed it (or understood how it would be possible, unless they 'showed it on the television'). I always like to throw music in, though generally strange stuff that won't get flagged by YouTube, but that's always the best stuff. Thanks so much for sharing your thoughts!

65scribe

Thanks Jelle! Appreciate you sharing your thoughts on your favourites!

Your abstention is recognized, Jon. Interesting observation about the long form videos. I didn't really realize that, myself. Thanks1

Jelle Peters

And another entry: G4 Cube because of its completeness!

Jon P

Abstained from voting for the ANS500 video, and chose 9500 (though still biased due to my love of that machine). The 9500 was among the first "long form (25+ mins)" vids which contain multiple topics (clones/PowerComputing, Copland/search for new OS) plus tons of 65scribe memes.

Corbin Johnson

Oh man. The LC video! It’s so good too! I love the commentary on the clips from the Apple Keynote video in that one too. And the ending.

Jelle Peters

Because of all the humor and inside jokes it is so hard to choose. Absolute favorite: The PowerMac G4, I discovered your channel because of it. Runner ups: 512K (RIP Joseph Samuels) LC (Dont copy that floppy) Favorite joke/running gag: Mac Pro 2037 Keep up the great work! You are unique. Congrats on the decade of 65 Scribe!

Absolutely impossible to pick just one... except the 8100 video with the 1984 theme just feels so well thought out and put together. It's very well written. I really like the redo of the 6100 video though. The damned Ontario carpet supermarket jingle is so catchy. And that weird video in the 9500 is super catchy too. So I do like that video for containing that video (I like that you posted that weird video to the Patreon)! I think that I learned about "I think we're a clone now" from watching your videos too (specifically this video) and it's so dang catchy too. Gosh I never thought about how much catchy music is in your videos until now. Love the behind the scenes at Universal Studios video as well. I believe my comment on that video says that you've basically preserved an amazing piece of history.

Charles Seyle

I'm rewatching to figure out which one to vote for. The Macintosh 512K is in the lead at the moment.

Dante Blando

The G4 Cube flick is witty and well edited. Every time I come to the Mac Pro (early 2037), I crack up at "gimme ya money!"

Sean Wolter

It’s impossible to pick just 1! There’s a video for every mood and season.

Gabe W

Every video is fantastic in its own right, but the iterative improvements make the PowerMac G5 video an excellent watch! Hard to believe it’s been that long since the SE video came out. Here’s to the next decade of oil museum tape releases!!!

ReddestDream

I had to go with the 9500 video for its solid history/backstory along with the characteristic snark and humor and just like coincidental things that happen during repair, e.g., “That may have been the last cool thing Microsoft ever did.” “What music video came with the Mac OS?” “COMPUTER MALFUNCTION” Elf Bowling, and, who could forget, “HAVE A GREAT SUMMER VACATION AND DON’T BE LATE FOR SCHOOL NEXT YEAR! DAMN!” Almost knocked me out of my chair! 🤣 Happy Anniversary! 😃

I just recently celebrated 10 years myself, it's quite a feeling to realize you've stuck with something so long that such a long period of time has passed without you even thinking about it. As for my vote, it had to go to the G5 because it's the most well produced video so far, though it was a tough choice between it and the 9500.

Tom Woodfin

Going with the 8100 video thanks to the excellent backstory on Cognac / Piltdown / Tesseract. Network Server a close second. But feeling motivated by this poll to do YA complete rewatch… Happy Anniversary!
