Wow. I sometimes watch Computer Chronicles ever since seeing clips of it in your videos and only wish I had access to / had the wherewithal to watch that stuff or stuff like it (such as this Dotto program... not that I would have had access to it in California where I grew up) when I was younger. What a fun and kitschy take on a tech learning program! Thanks for sharing it. Although I hear all the time about how Macintosh was the platform for desktop publishing, it's really only through programs like this and others where I get a sense for how that actually was achieved. If I may, have you listened to any of "The Famous Computer Cafe," a recently archived radio show about computers from the 80's? might be worth a listen. I especially enjoyed the interview with Douglas Adams ("For heaven's sake get on with it!" :-D) https://blog.archive.org/2024/08/19/archiving-the-famous-computer-cafe/

I had forgotten the show as well until Derek mentioned that he had uploaded the shows.

Wow, I used to catch Dotto's Data Cafe once in a while... if the antenna signal and my life schedule happened to align :) Completely forgot about that show! Dotto on Data is such a great time capsule. Just a goofy Canadian dude in a poorly built shed who starts with the dictionary definition of "data", seamlessly transitions to a 5-minute monologue on how the underpinning of our civilization is fundamentally changing due to technology, and then makes fun of the neighbourhood teens and does some Desktop Publishing (TM). Fantastic.
