I didn't plan to make a version without a helmet, to be honest, I didn't even think about how it might look without it

without color, it may not be so clear, but it is scarring, like in the Syll'Esske model

She looks like she's having fun. Good going nailing the expression. One critical note: I don't think the splatter pattern is a good idea. It's going to muddle the lines and should probably be left as something to do with after effects (Tamiya Clear Red or whatever other color one might choose). As is, it's easily mistaken for a severe parasitic infestation.
