It is I, Earndil, once again here to tell you all about what has been going on, and doing a recap of all that has transpired! Starting with:
So that Chapter 5, eh?
All those months worth of me writing "We are VERY hard at work" was not an exaggeration, I hope.
Suffice it to say we've been enjoying the positivity and kind comments on the video, as well as the NEARLY 500K views we've received on it in just over two weeks!
That especially means a lot, and we are looking forward to more people seeing it as the algorithm (hopefully) picks it up a bit.

But now that the afterglow of such a release (don't be gross) has concluded, we are once again back to work on the many aspects of work, namely that we have another chapter to be working on, Chapter 6, and art production is already underway.
The script is still being worked on and hashed out so that it does not take NEARLY as much time as Chapter 5, but it's still liable to be some ways away.
Beyond Chapter 6, as you can tell from your Youtube Notifications, we have stealthily released another TURNIP28 BATTLE WAR SHOW REVIEW BATTLE TABLETOP THING for you to glaze with your eye juice.
It's exceptionally funny and violent so PLEASE tube in.
Garrot, Karl, and Alfa have been working excitedly, and feverishly to make it very attuned to our own fucked up and weird tastes.
We also received fascinating news from Makeship regarding the D-Plushgie...
They have decided to extend us as of 8pm EST on March 8th!
The new extension date, before which you will STILL be able to afford the Dlushie will be March 16th, at 9pm EST! Seems as though we keep accidentally outperforming our expected goals, but I guess we shouldn't be so surprised anymore. SO! If you were not able to get one before now, and that bit of extra time helps you get one, that's EXCELLENT! He will be Marckus's financial burden for just about a week longer, so go drive that ginger FUCK into EXTREME DEBT!!!!! (big thanks to Makeship for all of this, as well as ALL of YOU who help support us, Big Heart)

Oh, damn. This is a bit sad, but I guess there's nothing to be done about it. I'll just stick to watching them on youtube, even though it's slightly less convenient. I will say, if you use Brave on the phone, you can actually turn off the screen and it will keep playing the audio, so maybe that can help you use it like you did with Spotify. It also automatically block ads, so you won't get a 30 min ad right as you fall asleep. Anyways, thanks for the answer mate.

They did answer before and TLDR: it hurts the YouTube channel to split the "views" across multiple platforms, and none of the other platforms bring in enough money to make up the difference. So they basically compete with themselves and are worse off as a result. Which is unfortunate because I also used to listen to them or put them on to help me sleep, but it makes sense

Hey! Something I noticed is that the audiodramas are no longer being uploaded to Spotify. Is there a reason for that? I assume it wasn't a worthwhile endeavor, but maybe you guys just forgot it or something. Anyways, I like listening to them there, even if I do it very seldom. Sorry if it has already been mentioned beforehand, I don't really pay attention to things like stuff and such.

Chapter 5 was amazing well worth the wait. Another Turnip28 was also a great surprise, though in my opinion it might have been... too chaotic? Really enjoyed it but I was a bit disoriented sometimes by the camera. Everything else (voice acting, storytelling, effects) was great.

Another point I want to expand on, if one that's been made before, is my joy at watching an episode that was essentially a mafia/werewolf game play out. As someone who used to play the game in text forums fairly regularly, it's clear there was a lot of experience with those kind of setups and how they play out in the writing here. I spent all of episode five vividly reminded of the exact kind of speculation and arguments that go down in those games, especially with the werewolf at the end to reveal that this was a multi-faction setup the whole time. Kudos.

HtP Episode 5 was my first direct exposure to the channel, and I ended up backtracking and going over the whole series, and Norfolk Wizard Game, as a result. I was left with many thoughts and musings, many of them mutually contradictory, from wondering if the Arcanum was purpose built to be an organization for different types of supernatural to spy on each other; to how Mafia/Werewolf setups for the arc might look; to wondering just how many of what seemed like Exalted connections were intentional, vs those built into WoD by the history of the two lines or their borrowing from real world mythology and history. And the question of "Okay, so just how many monsters do their have to be in a bathroom for a werewolf to say the bathroom is 'full of' monsters?"

Who else was incredibly relieved that the fan theory of "grimal is the ghoul and choked out occam by crawling through the vents" was only half right, because she was mind controlled? This is legitimately some of the best character writing I've ever seen. The "ghoul powers" audiolog was PAINFUL to watch because it feels so incredibly real to have a conflict based almost entirely on one person withholding information and refusing to engage in constructive conversation, but they have really damn good reasons and intentions, so that's why it's only *almost* entirely based on their refusal to engage. I haven't hade any media make me cringe with pain at how much I empathize with a character who is very arguably in the wrong since.... Arcane, I think. I also haven't seen a piece of media since Arcane where every party in a personal conflict is arguably completely in the right, even from the omnipresent perspective of the audience where we have everyone's full, unfiltered, perspective rather than the limited amounts they communicate to each other.

I've said this as a joke before, but if it doesn't take long to make, releasing a censored corpo baby version might also be a relatively low-effort way to boost yourselves in the algorithm and draw more eyes to the plushy campaign. The last one took like, what, 3 days to make? Please don't take this as a demand, I just feel like it's a thought worth sharing given the time-limited nature of the plush campaign. (but, full disclosure, I think the 'unnecessary censorship' genre of humor is some of the funniest shit, so I absolutely would be personally very pleased if such a thing were made. Especially for an episode with some dark and terrifying and genuinely emotional moments where the tension can be completely shattered by a spongebob censorship airhorn.)

Oh yeah, I was not expecting everything to blow up so violently in only episode 2 of 4, and you definitely captured the feeling of "oh, oh dear god we can't actually stop this thing, holy shit thank fuck it only wanted to grab something and run away. We were all actually about to die, nothing we did had any effect except for a painful scratch" Good soundtrack too. As a bit of a metal connoisseur myself (a blatant lie, I'm a basic bitch), good choice for soundtrack for the scene. Y'all know at least as well as I do, that metal can induce a wide variety of emotion, but that track very much captured the "oh, oh no, I'm actually in danger and woefully underprepared for the level of violence I'm being thrust into"" feeling

dude I didn’t even talk about chapter 5 and it’s how I started off. but I invited my bestie over so we could watch the premier together and my throat was so sore from screaming theories every five seconds. i paced for three straight hours and was actually crashing out after the end of it for a week. i loved loved loved it so much!!!!! it stole the linings of my jean pockets, took a swab of my cheek and looked at the cells under a microscope, and utterly consumed me.

I loved every minute of Chapter 5 (I will definitely rewatch it). The upgraded animation and how it felt like I was watching a 30min video it all just went by and I wanted more! On another note, once I get the plushy where can I post a picture of it so that all you Ogers can see it?

Chapter 5 was insanely good and it speaks to how hard you all work that you keep outdoing yourselves so magnificently. I also loved the use of a certain HTP track in the Son of Elephant/Grubhub confrontation!

ogres, regarding chapter 5. i have been a htp fan since a little bit after chapter 4 came out. and i have never actually been this invested in literally anything else ever. i think about this show constantly. it’s my favorite of all time, and i have consumed a stupid amount of media. i don’t even typically like stuff set in more modern periods, but this show has blown everything else out of the water. i am so insanely attached to every character you introduce because they are so unfailingly real and human and funny and tragic. marckus is literally me, for i am also a pathetic gaymer white boy. his struggles with his dad and his adhd are so crushingly relatable for me and i adore him wholly. i am so, SO excited for what kind of awful things is going to happen to him. i think about how his rhythm of shouting and speaking is like his dads, how they make similar jokes, how affectionate d is towards him… in his head. i think i have watched the ghoul audiolog at least 17 times, its that important to me. these are REAL PEOPLE THAT HAVE REAL RELATIONSHIPS AND REALLY TALK TO EACH OTHER!!! FUCK !!! FUCK I CANT DO THIS!!! screams cries runs away. ANYWAY. tldr i love your show and your work so so so much and would sell you my firstborn if I hadn’t already promised it to this one guy on Craigslist. you can have the second prommy!! treasurer of the marckus fanclub signing off!!

Loved episode 5 especially that ending sent shivers down my spine also the faces was hilarious can't wait for chapter 6 I already watched ep5 about 7 times lol my brother also loved it his favourite character is grimal so he's worried she's badly hurt it gave us something to talk about together so thanks great job to all who worked on it. Also I don't get paid by the dlush closing date so won't be able to buy one but I hope you sell alot.
