Aesthetic wise, i like the top right but the bottom left looks cleaner and more obvious?

Oh thats a great point about having an outline! And a avoiding putting stuff near the bottom, i will keep that in mind thank you!

I think something with a clear outline works for distinguishing "spoken dialogue" (typically in character) from tutorial or other "wall-breaking" text. For example, bottom-mid might fit better as character introduction text. I guess a bit like why comic books have speech bubbles for both character and narration text. Visually, I like top-right, bottom-left and bottom-right. I'd probably avoid putting any small navigation buttons on the bottom-right screen edge due to that being premium space. Pressing anywhere in that general vicinity should do the default progress action. You don't want people accidentally thumbing the "home" or settings button by mistake.
