Changing Bracelet: Girl for a Week - Ch. 01

The café door jingles as I shove it open with more force than necessary, the cool rush of air conditioning hitting me like a lifeline. Outside, the LA sun is relentless, a furnace that’s been roasting me alive for the entire walk here. My skin’s sticky with sweat, and I tug at the hem of my camisole, trying to peel it away from my chest where it clings like a second skin. These breasts are a goddamn curse, heavy and perky, bouncing with every step like they’re auditioning for attention. I glance down, scowling at the generous C-cups spilling out of the low neckline, the thin straps of the camisole digging into my shoulders under their weight. The shorts I’m wearing aren’t much better, snug against my firm, rounded ass and riding up with every movement, giving me a permanent wedgie. I’m a walking wet dream, all tiny waist, lush hair, and doe-eyed cuteness, but inside, I’m Mark, a 27-year-old dude who’s about ready to lose his shit.
I weave through the crowded café, my hips swaying involuntarily, the motion as natural to this body as breathing. Every step sends my breasts jiggling, and I can feel eyes tracking me, a heat that has nothing to do with the weather outside. I spot Cameron, Cam to me, at a corner table, his back turned as he scrolls through his phone. His broad shoulders and tousled hair are a familiar anchor in this sea of absurdity, and for a fleeting second, I almost forget I’m trapped in this nightmare. Then my shorts shift, digging deeper into my thighs, and the weight of my chest pulls me back to reality. I take a deep breath, steeling myself for what’s coming, and stride over, because apparently, this body doesn’t know how to move without strutting like it’s on a runway.
Cam doesn’t look up until I’m practically looming over him, my shadow falling across his table. “Uh, can I help you?” he says, his tone polite but edged with confusion, like he’s wondering why some random chick is hovering over his personal space.
I roll my eyes, my thick lashes fluttering in a way that makes me want to gag. “It’s me, you idiot. Mark.”
His head snaps up, and his jaw drops, his gaze darting from my face to my chest and back again in a frantic loop. For a moment, he’s speechless, his brain clearly short-circuiting. Then his eyes widen, recognition slamming into place. “Holy crap, Mark? You’re, you’re a girl!”
I drop into the seat across from him, wincing as my breasts bounce with the motion, the camisole doing little to contain them. “Yeah, no kidding. Glad you noticed.”
Cam’s still staring, his mouth hanging open like he’s trying to catch flies. “Dude, what the hell happened? Wait, is this that bracelet thing you told me about? The one Saffron found?”
I nod, leaning back and crossing my arms under my chest, which only pushes my breasts up higher, amplifying the cleavage. Great. “Yeah, the body-copy bracelet. Saffron’s brilliant idea of payback.”
Cam’s eyebrows shoot up, and he leans forward, dropping his voice to a hushed, conspiratorial tone. “Payback for what? What’d you do to piss her off this time?”
I sigh, the memory still raw, a sting I can’t quite shake. “We were at the beach a few days ago. I was, uh, checking out this girl. Nothing big, just a quick look, you know how it is. Saffron caught me, and she flipped out. Went on about how I’ve got no excuse since she can literally change her body, or mine, into anything we want with that bracelet, so there's no need to make some random girl uncomfortable with my 'stares'. Said if I’m so desperate to stare at women, I can spend a week as one. ‘Walk a mile in their shoes,’ she called it.” I gesture to my body, my hands sweeping over the curves that feel so foreign yet so real. “So here I am, stuck like this until she decides I’ve suffered enough.”
Cam’s eyes are still locked on my chest, and I can see the wheels turning behind his goofy grin. “Damn, she didn’t hold back. You look, well, you look hot, man. Like, seriously hot.”
I snort, heat creeping up my cheeks despite myself. “That’s the idea. She wanted me to get the full experience, every eyeball on me. These,” I cup my breasts, lifting them slightly, “are a mashup of clothes we dug out of a Goodwill bin. Random stuff from random people. We’d been testing the bracelet for weeks, grabbing whatever we could find to see what it’d do. Saffron thought it’d be hilarious to turn me into a patchwork of strangers for this little punishment.”
Cam’s gaze lingers, and I snap my fingers in front of his face, my nails catching the light. “Eyes up here, dude.”
He blinks, flushing slightly. “Sorry, it’s just, weird. You’re my best friend, but you look like a total babe. It’s screwing with my head.”
“Tell me about it,” I mutter, shifting in my seat. The shorts are digging into my thighs again, and I can feel sweat pooling under my breasts, a damp discomfort I’m still not used to. “I tried covering up, you know. Left the house in sweats and a hoodie, thinking I could hide all this. But it’s too damn hot out there, I was melting. So, this,” I gesture to the skimpy camisole and shorts, “is the best I could manage without passing out.”
Cam smirks, his eyes twinkling with that familiar mischief. “Well, you’re definitely turning heads. That waiter over there looks like he’s about to drool into his apron.”
I glance over my shoulder, catching the young guy behind the counter staring, his face flushed red as he fumbles with a coffee pot. He nearly drops it, the clatter drawing a few heads, and I groan, sinking lower in my chair. “Fantastic. Just what I need.”
As if summoned by Cam’s words, the waiter shuffles over, his eyes bouncing between my face and my chest like he’s playing ping-pong with his gaze. “Uh, h-hi. Can I get you two anything?” he stammers, his voice cracking on the last word.
I lean forward, resting my elbows on the table, which squeezes my breasts together and makes the poor kid’s eyes nearly bug out. “Eyes up here, buddy,” I say, my tone sharp with sarcasm.
He flushes an even deeper red, stammering harder. “S-sorry, ma’am. I didn’t mean to.”
“Just get me an iced latte,” I cut him off, waving a hand dismissively. “And whatever he wants.” I nod at Cam, who’s barely holding back a laugh.
“Black coffee,” Cam says, his grin splitting his face as the waiter stumbles away, nearly tripping over his own feet in his haste.
I slump back, rubbing my temples with fingers that feel too delicate. “See? This is my life now. Every guy I pass either stares at my chest or tries to hit on me. It’s exhausting.”
Cam’s still chuckling, clearly loving every second of my misery. “I don’t know, man. Doesn’t sound so bad to me. I mean, you’ve got a killer body. If I had tits like that, I’d be playing with them all day.”
I roll my eyes, but a reluctant smile tugs at my lips. “Yeah, well, it’s not as fun as it looks. They’re heavy, they’re always in the way, and don’t get me started on the boob sweat. It’s like lugging around two water balloons that won’t stop moving.”
Cam’s gaze dips again, and I snap my fingers. “Dude, seriously?”
“Sorry!” He throws up his hands, laughing. “It’s just, you’re my bro, but you look like a girl I’d totally hit on. It’s messing me up.”
“Join the club,” I grumble, adjusting the straps of my camisole as they slip down my shoulders. “Saffron’s having a blast with this, by the way. She’s been teasing me nonstop, making me try on all kinds of clothes to see what happens. Yesterday, she had me in this tiny bikini, and I swear, I thought I was gonna spill out of it every time I breathed.”
Cam’s eyebrows shoot up, his interest piqued. “Bikini, huh? Got any pics?”
I punch his arm, hard enough to make him wince. “Shut up. This isn’t funny. I’m stuck like this for a week, and it’s only day two. I’ve got five more days of this crap.”
He rubs his arm, still grinning like an idiot. “Alright, alright. But seriously, how’s it work? The bracelet, I mean. You told me about it a few days ago, showed it off a little, but I didn’t think it was this, uh, extreme.”
I sigh, leaning forward again, my breasts pressing against the table’s edge. “It’s nuts. Saffron found it a few weeks back, and we’ve been messing with it ever since. You put it on, and whenever you wear someone else’s clothes, your body shifts to match theirs, but only the parts the clothes cover. Like, if I wear some guy’s shirt, I get his torso and arms. Pants give me their legs, a hat gives me their head, voice and all. Underwear,” I pause, grimacing, “well, you can guess what that does.”
Cam’s eyes widen. “Wait, so you can mix and match different people’s parts?”
“Yep. That’s what Saffron did to me. She grabbed a bunch of random clothes from the Goodwill bin, stuff owned by different people, and made me wear it with the bracelet on. So now I’ve got these breasts from some woman’s bra, this ass from a pair of shorts, legs from some jeans, and my face is from a hat we found. No clue who any of these people are.”
Cam lets out a low whistle. “That’s wild. And you can’t just take the bracelet off to fix it?”
I shake my head. “Nope. Taking it off just stops the clothes from changing me more. To go back to normal, I have to wear my own clothes with the bracelet on. But Saffron’s got my stuff locked up as part of the punishment. Says I don’t get it back until the week’s over.”
“Damn,” Cam says, a mix of sympathy and amusement in his tone. “So you’re really stuck like this until she’s done with you.”
“Pretty much.” I glance down at myself, still half-disbelieving. My skin’s smooth, my waist cinched, my hips flared. I’m fit, too, lean muscle under soft curves, like I’ve been sculpted by some fitness guru. “It’s not all terrible, I guess. The sex is, uh, interesting.”
Cam’s eyebrows shoot up again, and he leans in closer.
I nod, a smirk creeping onto my lips despite myself. “She’s been having fun with it. Last night, she had me wear her clothes, so I looked exactly like her. Then she swapped me into this body and had me go down on her. It’s weird as hell, but it’s kind of a turn-on, too.”
Cam’s staring, his mouth slightly open. “Dude, that’s, wow. I don’t even know what to say to that.”
I laugh, the sound high and feminine, still jarring to my own ears. “Yeah, it’s a lot. But the worst part is being out in public like this. I feel like a slab of meat. Every guy I pass is either staring at my chest or trying to chat me up. Yesterday, I walked by a construction site, and the catcalls, man, I almost lost it.”
Cam winces. “Ouch. That sounds brutal.”
“It is,” I say, my voice softening. “And I get why Saffron’s mad. I shouldn’t have been checking out that girl at the beach. It was stupid, and I feel like an ass about it. But this,” I gesture to my body, “feels like she’s gone overboard. I’m stuck in a stranger’s skin, dealing with all the crap women put up with. It’s humiliating.”
Cam’s quiet for a beat, his expression shifting to something more thoughtful. “Yeah, I can see that. But maybe that’s what she’s going for. She wants you to get it, you know? What it’s like to be on the other end of that.”
I sigh, running a hand through my long, wavy hair, the strands silky against my fingers. “Maybe. And I kind of do, now. It sucks being treated like this. But I’m still a guy in here,” I tap my temple, “even if I look like this out there. I don’t know if I’ll ever fully understand.”
Cam nods, sipping his coffee as the waiter drops it off. The waiter scurries off, and Cam smirks. “You’ve got him all flustered. You’re like a rock star or something.”
“More like a sideshow,” I mutter, sipping my iced latte. The cold coffee slides down my throat, a small mercy against the heat still simmering under my skin. “I just want this week over so I can go back to normal. Or whatever passes for normal with that bracelet around.”
We settle into a comfortable silence, the café humming around us, the clink of cups and murmur of voices a steady backdrop. For a moment, it’s almost normal, like I’m not stuck in this body, dealing with Saffron’s lesson.
“So, dude,” Cam starts, setting his cup down with a soft clack, “how is it? I mean, really. He waves his hand again, less specific this time. “How’s it feel? Like, physically?”
I groan, running a hand through my hair, the long waves tangling around my fingers. “Awkward as hell. Everything’s heavier, softer, I don’t know. My balance is shot, and don’t get me started on how hot it is out there. I’m sweating in places I didn’t even know I had. Plus, every guy I pass on the street either stares or tries to talk to me. I had a dude follow me half a block yesterday asking for my number. Took everything not to deck him.”
Cam winces, but there’s a laugh bubbling under it. “Oof, yeah, that sounds rough".
I smirk, glancing over at the counter where the waiter’s pretending to wipe down a spotless surface, his ears pink. “I think I scare him."
“Fair. You’ve still got your mean right hook, I bet even in that body." Sam laugh.
“Yeah, well, I’m still me in here,” I say, tapping my temple. “Even if I look like a stranger. It’s freaky, man. I catch my reflection and it’s like, who the hell is this? I miss my beard. My shoulders. My flat chest.” I sigh, slumping back in my seat, the chair creaking under me. “Three days in, and I’m counting the hours until I can ditch this.”
Cam tilts his head, his grin softening into something more curious. “You’re lucky, though, right? I mean, come on, that body’s unreal. Most guys would kill for a front-row seat to something like that.”
I laugh, a dry, bitter sound, shaking my head. “Yeah, that’s what I thought too, until I was stuck like this. It’s not all fun and games, trust me. Been like this for a few days now, and I just want my body back. You try walking around with these,” I gesture to my chest, “and tell me how lucky I am when your back’s screaming by noon.”
He laughs, loud enough that a couple at the next table glances over.
“Laugh it up,” I mutter, but I’m grinning too. “You’d be crying for mercy in ten minutes if it was you.”
Cam’s still chuckling, sipping his coffee as he calms down. “So, what’s she been doing with it? The bracelet, I mean. Besides turning you into her personal dress-up doll.”
I lean back, crossing my arms under my chest, which feels weirdly natural now, even if I hate admitting it. “She’s been experimenting. It’s not just about the sexy stuff, though she’s definitely into that. She’s got these random bras from some flat-chested girl, uses them when she goes for a run so she doesn’t have to deal with boobs bouncing around. Says it’s the best workout hack she’s ever found.”
Cam nods, impressed. “Smart. What else?”
“She’s got these new Lululemon leggings she’s been wearing,” I say, thinking back to her smug little grin when she’d shown them off. “I’m pretty sure she used them to give her legs a little muscular boost. They’re new and aren't owned by anyone, so they don't swap your body parts. New clothes mold your existing body to best suit the clothes, so it’s more subtle and it's hard to tell how much is the bracelet and how much is just her, but her calves look tighter, stronger. Her ass too I think.”
“That’s actually kinda cool,” Cam says, resting his chin on his hand, eyes bright with interest. “So it’s not just a sex toy, it’s got, like, utility. She could be anyone she wants, tweak whatever she wants.”
“Yeah,” I agree, nodding. “It’s versatile as hell. Which is why I’m screwed. She’s got all the power right now, and I’m just along for the ride.”
Cam’s quiet for a moment, staring into his coffee like he’s mulling something over. Then he looks up, that mischievous glint back in his eye. “You know, I reckon it’d be fun. Being someone else for a bit. Especially like that,” he nods toward me, “all hot and curvy. I’d rock it.”
I snort, shaking my head. “Oh yeah? I bet you wouldn’t last a day like this. You’d be whining about your bra straps in an hour, tops.”
He sits up straighter, puffing out his chest a little. “Please, I could do a week, easy. Better than you, anyway. You’re already folding after three days.”
“Excuse me?” I say, leaning forward, my voice rising with mock indignation. “I’m not folding, I’m surviving. You wouldn’t know the first thing about surviving this. You’d freak out the second some dude catcalled you.”
Cam grins, undeterred. “Nah, I’d handle it. Charm my way out, maybe get a free drink or two. I’d kill it as a girl.”
“Oh, you’re so full of it,” I say, laughing now, the sound bubbling up despite the ache in my back. “Alright, hotshot, let’s make it official. I bet you can’t last a week in a body like this. One day, you’re tapping out, guaranteed.”
He narrows his eyes, leaning in to match me. “You’re on. I’ll do a week, no problem. Loser buys drinks every Friday for a month. Deal?”
“Deal,” I say, sticking out my hand. He shakes it, his grip firm, and I can’t help but feel a little smug. He’s got no idea what he’s in for.
“Alright,” Cam says, pulling back with a grin. “How do we do this? I’m not waiting around.”
I sip my latte, letting the anticipation build for a second. “Come over to our place later today. Saffron’s got the bracelet, and I’m sure she’ll be thrilled to swap you into something. We’ll start the bet tonight, give you a full seven days to prove you’re not all talk.”
“Done,” he says, clapping his hands together, the sound sharp over the café’s hum. “I’m gonna crush this. You’ll see.”
“Yeah, we’ll see,” I mutter, smirking. “Just don’t come crying to me when you’re begging to change back by tomorrow.”
He laughs, finishing off his coffee with a swig. “Not a chance. Get ready to lose, Mark.”
The conversation winds down after that, the caffeine settling into a pleasant buzz as we toss a few more jabs back and forth. Cam tells me about his latest gig, some freelance coding job that’s keeping him busy, and I fill him in on the less humiliating parts of my week, like how I’ve gotten pretty good at cooking dinner for Saffron while she lounges around gloating. It’s easy, familiar, the kind of talk we’ve had a hundred times before, even if my voice is higher and my body’s throwing me off every other sentence. For a little while, I almost forget I’m not myself, just two friends shooting the shit over coffee.
Eventually, though, the cups are empty, and the waiter’s hovering nearby, clearly waiting for us to clear out. We stand, stretching, and I wince as my shorts dig into my thighs again, the fabric sticky with sweat. Cam grabs his wallet, tossing a few bills on the table, and I follow him toward the door, the café’s cool air giving way to the thick heat outside. The sun’s still high, relentless, and I tug at my camisole, trying to fan some air against my skin.
“Alright, man,” Cam says, turning to me on the sidewalk. “See you later. What time should I show up?”
“Seven,” I say, shielding my eyes against the glare. “Saffron’ll be home by then. Bring your A-game, because she’s not gonna go easy on you.”
He grins, stepping closer for a hug, his arms wrapping around me before he seems to realize what he’s doing. My breasts press against his chest, soft and unavoidable, and he freezes for a split second, his face going red. “Uh, yeah, this is weird,” he mumbles, pulling back fast, hands shoving into his pockets.
I laugh, swatting his arm. “Get used to it, buddy. You’re about to be in my shoes, and I’m gonna enjoy every second of watching you squirm.”
“Bring it on,” he says, recovering with a smirk, then turns to head for his car, parked a block down. I watch him go, shaking my head, already picturing the look on his face when Saffron gets her hands on him. He’s got no clue what he’s signed up for.
I turn the other way, starting the trek back to the apartment, the heat pressing down like a physical weight. My reflection flashes in a storefront window, all curves and long hair, a stranger’s body with my scowl plastered on it. Four more days for me, seven for Cam if he makes it that long. I pick up my pace, sweat trickling down my back, and mutter to myself, “Let’s see who’s laughing by the end of this.”
The walk home stretches out, the sun baking the pavement, and my mind churns with a mix of dread and anticipation. Cam’s in for a rude awakening, and I can’t wait to see it play out. Saffron’s probably already plotting, that wicked grin of hers lighting up the apartment as she digs through her stash of clothes. This week’s been hell for me, but maybe, just maybe, watching Cam flail through it will make it worth it. I smirk, dodging a guy who’s staring a little too long as I pass, and keep moving.
