Chapter 114: Big Auction -9 || Harem in a Labyrinth (Repost)

The Level 10 Slave Merchant greeted me enthusiastically as soon as I stepped into the waiting room.
Shea stood off to the side, fidgeting. Her eyes were bright as she looked at me, though she remained quiet—likely instructed by Branrik to behave in front of her new master.
After exchanging greetings, I mentioned wanting to complete the ceremony first. At that, Shea’s face lit up and she happily followed us to the inner backroom.
“Hareholt is a peaceful little town, surrounded by many farming villages…” Branrik began as soon as I showed the slightest interest in where he was from.
I nodded along politely as we walked, and soon we arrived at our destination. Branrik stepped forward to present his slip to the Level 43 Merchant.
“I’m so happy Master won me at the auction,” Shea whispered joyfully, standing in front of me. “You were one of the most handsome men I saw today, so I was really hoping you would become my Master!” she added with a giggle.
“Oh? So if I were ugly, you wouldn’t want me as your Master?” I asked, stroking my chin.
“No! No, I didn’t mean it like that, Master!” Shea said quickly, waving her hands in a panic.
“Haha, relax—I was just messing with you,” I replied with a chuckle.
I mean, I also picked slaves based on looks, so judging her for that would have made me a complete hypocrite.
Branrik returned shortly, and I handed him the participation slip.
“Ah, yes—thank you. I will go ahead and deduct that from the final price of 400,000 Nars,” Branrik said, pocketing the slip. “Michio-san, your total comes to 239,400 Nars.”
I calmly pulled out 24 gold coins and handed them over. He counted them, then returned 6 silver coins as change.
Roughly it ended up being the same price I paid for Lilia and Miria back in the Imperial Capital.
Well, my 40% Discount skill doesn’t exactly discriminate after all.
Next, we proceeded with the ceremony.
Shea looked oddly thrilled as she presented her hand to me, her eyes sparkling with excitement. I was much calmer in comparison. Branrik didn’t waste any time and quickly finished his chants.

“Master! Now that I am by your side, we will definitely conquer all the Labyrinths!” Shea declared, pumping her fists which in turn pressed her chest together.
“Yeah… I hope so,” I replied with a wry smile.
It looks like her dreams are even bigger than her chest.
“Good luck to you, Michio-san,” Branrik added with a sigh.
Why did his words sound more like pity than encouragement? I decided not to dwell on it and instead showed my own Intelligence Card to Shea as she showed me hers.

I let Shea amuse herself with the card as Branrik went over my responsibilities.
“...And as a female Rabbitkin, it is imperative for her health that she receives proper “care” at least once a week,” Branrik explained, his tone utterly serious. “Otherwise, there’s a risk she could fall ill...”
I glanced at the happy-looking Shea.
Just how "active" is this race if they get sick from not getting off for a week?
Well... I wouldn’t mind taking on the role of her personal physician and ensuring she stays healthy—thoroughly and regularly.
Once she finished counting the names, she finally handed back my Intelligence Card, and we returned to the waiting room.
As we were saying our farewells, Branrik leaned in and whispered, “Michio-san, if you’re satisfied with Shea and want to experience more of the Rabbitkins, my establishment would be more than happy to accommodate you.”
Now that was a tempting offer. Maybe I would make a stop in Hareholt sometime in the future.
As soon as we stepped out of the room, Shea bounced to my side and pressed her body against my arm.
“I still can’t believe I got such an amazing Master! I’m so incredibly happy—what a blessing!” she said, practically glowing with excitement.
“Well, you are definitely blessed,” I replied, enjoying the way her soft chest rubbed against me.
Her enthusiasm was contagious, but there were still a few things she needed to be told. While she clung to my arm, I calmly went over the things she should know for now.
She quickly pulled away as we approached the Auction Room, likely remembering some instruction from Branrik about behaving properly in public. I simply took her soft hand in mine and led her up the stairs.
At our seats, I noticed Viviana had joined the other girls and was chatting with them now.
“Hello! I’m Shea, a Rabbitkin—pleased to meet you all!” She introduced herself brightly when I asked her to sit with the others.
I shook my head lightly, amused, and took my seat at the back with Anastasia, who quickly gave me a report.
The addition of Shea had really energized the group. Noticing that I didn’t seem to mind their chatting, they all started talking among themselves—keeping their voices low.
Except for Setsuna, everyone else was at least chatting, which gave me a bit of relief. I didn’t want them just sitting here, feeling bored.
As I listened to the beautiful girls talking amongst themselves, I found myself reflecting on something peculiar about auctions like this. There is a certain thrill to it—before the bidding even starts, you get to see these stunning women in their display rooms. You can talk to them, ask questions, and get a glimpse of their personality.

I furrowed my brows as I caught Jasmine’s confident smile crack, it was because even after Rosten’s call no one was bidding.
Just as I was about to nudge Anastasia to raise a hand, an adventurer finally speaks up.
“200,000 Nars”
Jasmine keeps her smile up at that, but it was clear that the enthusiasm was lacking. The bids that followed were slow, scattered—most of the audience was talking amongst themselves, barely interested.
The only real bidders seem to be one lone adventurer and a few guys with the [Sex Maniac] job.
‘Master, if she weren’t one of the desert folk, she probably could have gone for at least 700,000. She’s a beautiful female combatant, after all,’ Anastasia informed me through the party link. ‘Although Explorers headed for the Labyrinth might still not have wanted someone with an unfamiliar and unheard job in their party.’
‘Well, their prejudice saves us money, so I won’t complain,’ I reply lightheartedly.
Anastasia just sighs gently in my arms.
I smirk, knowing she was probably waiting for me to give the order not to bid. But I definitely want her to. So I just take her free hand in mine—looking forward to her winning the bidding.
“300,000 nars!” Anastasia announces clearly.
As soon as she raises the bid by 50,000, the rest of the bidders go quiet. Seems like no one wanted to challenge me now when it comes to money.
“Going once, going twice… and sold!” Rosten called out finally.
We won surprisingly easily.
I watched as Jasmine, who had been scanning the crowd anxiously, looks up at me with a relieved smile.
Instructing the girls to wait, I made my way down towards the waiting room.
“This Slave Merchant is named Zarrif. I humbly thank the benefactor for winning the bid. May I know your esteemed name?” Zarrif gave me a deep bow—nearly a full ninety degrees, or as much as his potbelly would allow.
“I’m Michio Kaga. No need to be so formal,” I replied casually, noting that even Jasmine was bowing, though not as deeply.
“Thank you, Michio-sama,” Zarrif said, straightening up, and Jasmine followed suit.
When I offered to complete the formalities right away, he eagerly led me to the backroom. Jasmine obediently followed behind us.
“So, where are you from, Zarrif?” I asked as we walked.
“I am a Slave Merchant from the desert region, Michio-sama,” he replied with another quick bow.
“And do the deserts have cities or just scattered villages? Where exactly is your establishment?” I asked, half-jokingly wondering if he would say something like Agrabah.
“Forgive me, Michio-sama, but I doubt you would recognize the city name… Ah, look—we’ve arrived,” Zarrif said quickly, avoiding the question as he opened the door.
His evasiveness about the city caught my attention. Out of the corner of my eye, I noticed Jasmine had lowered her head and fallen silent as well. Definitely something fishy was going on with this so-called desert city.
As we entered, Zarrif moved quickly toward the Merchant’s desk, pulling out a slip from his robes.
I took the opportunity to glance over at the brown-skinned beauty trailing behind me. Her head was lowered, but every now and then, her soft brown eyes would sneak a shy glance in my direction.
“Is Jasmine a flower’s name?” I asked, curious—back on Earth, it definitely was.
“Yes, Master,” she said with a small smile. “It’s a tiny, fragrant flower that grows in the desert. It was my mother’s favourite.”
She spoke with a gentle, nostalgic tone.
“Looking at you, I can only assume it must be a very beautiful flower,” I said with a grin.
“Thank you…” she replied softly, lowering her gaze again, a light blush blooming on her cheeks.
I held back the more risqué thought that popped into my mind—about how I was very much looking forward to ravish this particular flower.
