Wiz, Gumroad Update, Poll winner & Doujinshi!!

First of all, long time no Wiz! ^^ I actually attempted to draw her a few times. My ideas for her were mostly cute/wholesome but recently I wanted to draw a little more sexy/provocative stuff so there was quite a tug-of-war in my mind. I think it shows in this piece but honestly I'm just happy I finished another Wiz illustration. I promise I'll draw more wholesome illustrations of her ( ´ ω ` )

And lastly, doujinshi(it's a fan-manga/comic if you're not familiar with the term)
This was the reason that I paused/was inactive in February. So what happened was that I started drawing a doujinshi but I quickly realized that it was so much harder than I thought. I don't want to drama post but to cut it short, I didn't know what I was doing so I kept failing/not meeting my expectations/everything felt so off and wrong. Eventually I became so frustrated that I lost the motivation to draw completely. Feelsbadman.
The good news is it's one of those "It gets worse before it gets better" kind of things. So after a few days of just not doing art, my spirit slowly lifted and with a clearer mind I was able to approach it more calmly.
And that brings us to today! I've been practicing techniques for drawing manga and I'm really starting to get the hang of it. My main problem was that I was treating it like a regular illustration but it's actually story telling. I'll leave it at that because I don't want to get into the technical stuff right now, but I just feel so motivated recently because I can see my improvement in drawing manga, even if it's just small steps. Feelsgoodman ^^
That's the gist of it. Can you guess which character inspired me to draw a doujinshi? It's pretty obvious if you look at my recent obsession with a certain character. It's just I have a scenario brewing in my mind that just won't leave my head and I just absolutely have to draw it. And I feel the best way to get it out is in doujinshi form.
Alrighty I think that's everything! There's 121 days until July 26. That day marks the 2nd anniversary of Fire Emblem: Three Houses and self-imposed deadline for my Rhea doujinshi. Knowing me, I'll probably miss it, but dammit I'll release my Rhea doujinshi this year! Let's goo!!!

Thanks for the concern! I think I've gotten better at handling burnout but I'll definitely make sure to not over do it regardless. Glad to hear you're excited, that goes for both of us! ^^

Good to see you still going strong, Sendo. Your passion, thought, and care for your art is a huge inspiration to me even though I'm a writer instead of an artist. BTW, next time you do a character vote, remind me to choose F!Byleth. I already find her gorgeous and I can only imagine how much moreso she'd be in your style. <3

Rhea doujin. I feel blessed. Please don't stress over hitting the deadline, though. I'd love to have it by then, of course, but I'd rather you work at your own pace to avoid burnout, even if it means missing the deadline! I'm honestly so excited for this! You really don't have any idea how happy you've made me.

I like to put myself in a happy disposition whenever I draw Wiz. She's such a sweet character and I just can't bring myself to draw her in anything other than in a wholesome manner. That said, I do love drawing her in sexy clothing sometimes :P And yeah, I'm no way going to beat myself up if I miss the deadline, I already did that enough last month :P But yeah, I'm just as excited to finish it and show it to everyone ^^

You tend to do cute and wholesome drawings of Wiz and that's always great, but man can she be sexy when it comes to it, this is awesome! She still looks cute even in this, it's like a nice mix, I like it a lot :) And uh, excuse me? RHEA DOUJINSHI?! Now THAT'S exciting! xD I don't know much about drawing stuff but I can see why something like that would be different and how it could be difficult, cool to hear that you've been improving already! Just don't beat yourself up if you don't make the anniversary deadline! I don't know what your plans are for it, but I'm very excited to see what you come up with for our divine mommy Rhea! Also excited for Pyra! I think your style will work really well for her :)
