1.6 Release Date
🕑 Added 2023-09-30 06:48:04 +0000 UTCSo, the end of September, as promised the release date of the update. That's October 14-21. That is the same two weeks, plus one more week in case something goes wrong. Time frames are actually very short for me, but it can't be dragged out any longer.
I've already told even more than enough about the update itself in previous posts, so there will be no new posts from me here until the update is released. And the next time you see a notification about a new post here - you can be sure that it is 1.6 and you can download it.
Сurious fact. While regular updates took about ~2.5 months, and short updates (like 1.3) ~1.5 months, the 1.6 update with that very "free roam sequence" took almost 4 months. Perhaps now, you'll better understand why I didn't put a free roam sequence in every episode. On the other hand, I knew that updates of this kind would take longer, but now I know exactly how much longer. Will be useful in the future.
I'll also have to put in a third thousand variables responsible for dialog variations in this chapter. Updates 1.5 and 1.6 together "ate" the last thousand dialog lines already. Such troglodytes, huh. And they still can't get enough.

Just letting you know, guys and gals. Working on the last scene. Just finished the art for it (there are quite a lot of them for one scene, but the scene itself won't be small either). It's still no less than three days of work at this crazy pace, but I'm hitting the designated deadline. So... soon.

Yeah, I guess at this stage it might feel that way. A high degree of proximity to events and their detalization is necessary to discover the characters with whom the protagonist will have to travel. That's sort of the global objective of Chapter 2. In Chapter 3, I'll give you the opportunity to find adventures (including "on your ass") in the big city and generally learn more about the local society by living in it, so to speak. And throughout all of this, the global plot will sort of "not develop" significantly (actually not, but... can't say anymore). Direct answers instead of hints will only go from Chapter 4 onward. Well, that's the plan, anyway.

Maybe gave that feel cuz in the big picture main plot didn't advanced much.

I couldn't explain what I meant. I know that you can get Cadonis scene, Orgy scene or the scene with the timid girl playing 3 times with different scenes but routes themselves felt like not giving much freedom. For example Cadonis one was just staying there, drinking with everyone and him then going to bed etc.

Really? Hmm. Well, I can't help with that, I guess. 1.5 branches out quite a lot, depending on a lot of factors. If you're dating Cadonis, it's one set of scenes, if you're hanging out with Iolanta, it's another set of scenes. Including sex scenes and changes in dialog. Did you approach Murella or not? The scene will change whether Selene is bi or not/not yet. Different developments depending on whether you participated in the drinking or not. Or sex scenes. Did Selene see Io and Mer's sex, or did she just fall asleep? If she did, did she participate in the threesome or not? The consequences of this, by the way, will play out in 1.6. For all possobilities. All in all, the 1.5 update is linear only in the sense that you come to the same point at the end. But you arrive there through a huge variation of events, after all. If I even try to do 2-3 completely different "exit" options from each episode, the development will very quickly stagnate because the number of possible options (that need to be worked through) will grow exponentially. I don't really see how to do that.

I think there's a balance for everything. For example I enjoy both, free roam or linear but latest update was too railroaded.
