They literally did a flashback of Kawaki as a kid and Jigen telling a man that once he gives him up he’ll never get his son back, then him telling young Kawaki from this day on ,he’s his father. So why are you still speculating so hard on who his father is?

This episode was a tribute to Ukyo Kodachi, the previous writer for Boruto, which is why they animated it like this, which was just like how the manga looks. What's crazy is that before they released this episode, everyone knew it was most likely going to be a crazy one, but when the first scene opened up, everyone knew in that moment that this was going to be a peak episode.

If you still remember Boruto in the chunin exam arc, then you should watch the last five episodes you missed. That's because they form the foundation of the story and Boruto's character development with regard to ninja science tools, leading up to the Kawaki arc😊
