Chapter 52: Summary (Part 1)
🕑 Added 2025-03-11 01:50:04 +0000 UTC“Hiss, it hurts, it hurts so much!”
In the dormitory, Nan Fusheng opened his eyes and couldn’t help but take a deep breath, making a contribution to climate warming across the federation.
“Are top soul beasts so irritable? They attack without saying a word? That’s right. After all, they are just wild beasts. How can we think about them with human thinking?”
Nan Fusheng summarized his journey to the Spirit Ascension Platform, taking stock of his own condition when he possessed the Blue Bird, and whether there were any omissions. Finally, he inevitably thought of the scene of himself being torn into pieces.
“It’s nothing to be killed. However, we still need to figure out whether this Dark Gold Terror Claw Bear is simply angry or has sensed something strange about the Blue Bird that possessed me.”
This is the first time that Nan Fusheng has deeply parasitized other creatures. He must know whether his first soul skill has any flaws. Otherwise, if something goes wrong in the future, he will have no place to cry.
Nan Fusheng thought about it and put this question behind him. He would just experiment again in the Spirit Ascension Platform. This trip to the Spirit Ascension Platform also made Nan Fusheng realize the Spirit Ascension Platform and his first soul skill again.
First of all, there is the Spirit Ascension Platform. Nan Fusheng can be sure that the soul beasts inside are by no means completely virtual. Maybe they are souls, or maybe they are half virtual and half real. But Nan Fusheng can be sure that the soul beasts inside at least have souls.
Nan Fusheng’s first soul skill is a simplified version of his path sequence four: ‘Parasite’.
It can parasitize other organisms, even microorganisms. (Of course, Nan Fusheng can’t parasitize microorganisms now.)
But it can’t even parasitize “inorganic matter”. Maybe when Nan Fusheng becomes a true god, he can do it, but at least he can’t do it now. And if he can be parasitized by him, then the soul beast on the Ascension Platform is definitely not a dead thing.
Then came his first soul skill: Parasitism, a true soul skill that he had hidden away.
Let’s not talk about shallow parasitism for now. But when Nan Fusheng conducts deep parasitism, it can be divided into the following states:
The first Is to completely eliminate the consciousness of the parasitic object, and he can completely gain control of the body.
The second type Is to coexist with the consciousness of the parasite and hide in the soul of the parasite. Usually, the consciousness of the parasite is dominant, but it can seize control of the body at any time.
It Is possible to guide or influence the emotions of the parasitic object, but there is also a certain risk of being resisted by the parasitic object.
However, due to the deep parasitism, his various emotions and thoughts are synchronized with those of the parasitic object. As long as the other party has the idea of resisting, he will know it immediately.
The third type Is to merge with the soul of the parasitic object. In this case, although the other party is also Nan Fusheng’s clone, it is because of the fusion of the soul with the parasitic object.
The personality will also change significantly. The stronger the parasite is, the more the personality after the parasite is similar to the original personality, and vice versa.
But the core body is still Nan Fusheng, and this will not change!
This is how Nan Fusheng felt when he possessed the Blue Bird. He can choose to kill, coexist, or merge to decide how he wants to parasitize the Blue Bird.
That night, Nan Fusheng thought a lot.
…
The next day, because he was thinking too much and couldn’t concentrate on his practice, Nan Fusheng left the dormitory early.
It was still early and the sky outside was just beginning to brighten. After washing up, he walked to the playground to relax.
As soon as I arrived, I saw Tang Wulin running wildly on the playground alone, with his arms open at high speed. How should I put it, he looked mentally unstable.
Although soul evolution is something to be happy about, Nan Fusheng silently stopped walking towards the playground when he saw Tang Wulin dancing on the playground.
It was not until a pink figure reappeared at the edge of the playground that Tang Wulin slowly returned to normal.
Nan Fusheng ignored the enthusiastic interaction between Tang Wulin and his senior schoolmate and went straight to the cafeteria, ate, and then went to the classroom.
…
“Tell us how you felt about the Spirit Ascension Platform yesterday.” Wu Zhangkong stood behind the podium and spoke calmly to the six students in the classroom.
Zhang Yangzi had dark circles under his eyes today, obviously he didn’t sleep well last night. The same was true for Wang Jinxi. The difference was that Zhang Yangzi was depressed.
Wang Jinxi had a nightmare. This child was probably the most miserable one among all. He encountered the human-faced demon spider directly and was eaten up by it in an extremely cruel way. He has not recovered yet.
Xie Xie’s face didn’t look very good either. After yesterday’s bloody battle, although he didn’t suffer too much damage because of Nan Fusheng, his physical strength was severely depleted.
Moreover, I didn’t feel it at the time, but when I went back to rest at night, green wolves always appeared in my mind pouncing on me. I couldn’t calm down and meditate at all. In the middle of the night, I rolled off the bed and woke up on the ground.
Tang Wulin was the only one with an excited expression. Soul evolution, what could be more exciting than this?
Nan Fusheng and Gu Yue’s faces were relatively normal, and they didn’t look any different.
“Follow the order in which you left the battlefield yesterday, Zhang Yangzi!” Seeing that no one was willing to speak, Wu Zhangkong directly called out their names.
“Yes!” Zhang Yangzi agreed somewhat awkwardly, and stood up and said, “My performance yesterday was terrible. Teacher Wu, I was wrong.”
Wu Zhangkong waved his hand, “You don’t need to admit your mistakes to me. Your life is your own. You still have a chance to admit your mistakes. If you were really in the Soul Beast Forest yesterday, you would be just a corpse now, or even nothing left. Tell me how you feel. To the Spirit Ascension Platform, or to yourself.”
Zhang Yangzi’s facial muscles twitched awkwardly. “The world of spirit ascension platform is too real. I can’t feel any illusion in it.
So, when I first entered, I was very curious. I climbed the tree to see farther away. Moreover, my martial spirit has a certain gliding ability. I think I can fly in multiple directions on the top of the tree, and at the same time I can better observe everything around me. “
“So, at the beginning, I did nothing wrong. My mistake was that I underestimated the enemy and was arrogant. I didn’t observe the surrounding situation clearly and acted rashly, becoming the target of everyone’s criticism and being eliminated from the battlefield.”
“Next time I go to the Spirit Ascension Platform, I will be extra careful and try my best to protect myself. I will strive to survive longer.”
After saying this, he sat down again.
Wu Zhangkong did not comment and turned to Wang Jinxi, “What about you?”
Wang Jinxi smiled bitterly and said, “Teacher Wu, I don’t remember much else now. I only remember the face that fell from above my head, and the coldness that seemed to freeze my soul. They are like my nightmares. They have been haunting me all the time. I don’t know what will happen next time I see them.”
