Yeaaaaahhhh that is a REALLY interesting part…hmmm…sadist much, Netero? We can’t waste the possibility of TALENT being there. Hm. Or there could be something more there…I definitely want to talk about this in a future intro! And yessss, I will say, there are DEFINITELY some comparisons to One Piece and its themes as well! Leorio gets clothing! Hahaha!! And yes, no tetanus for anyone! Thank you for the comment and kind words - I’m really starting to feel like I don’t remember as much as I thought I did at this point in the series, but that’s not a bad thing! What kills me in this episode, is seeing Netero getting upset with Menchi failing all the candidates; no, we can't have that, failing everyone is no good... but killing them all? That's perfectly fine! Netero quickly agrees to a new exam in which they all jump off a huge cliff to what could easily be falling to their deaths! I'm getting the sense that hunters don't think much of their own lives or other hunters at all, with a few exceptions. I haven't really seen THAT much One Piece, but perhaps there's a similar feeling in that show, where the pirates all see murder and death as pretty normal costs of the occupation, with a few exceptions once again? Leorio finally gets a shirt! Boo! Haha, well good for him, I guess we don't want him getting tetanus from all these pins! Thanks for the reaction and discussion! It's fun to see how you remember some things and many others are a surprise! Keeping it shorter for the holidays but hope you had a nice holiday! 😊
