Ocean Mega Map UPDATE!: Third Area - Shell Forest
🕑 Added 2022-06-15 15:42:48 +0000 UTCCHECK UPDATED OCEAN MEGA MAP POST FOR LATEST DOWNLOADS!
Hey everyone!
Update 30th June: Kinda went overboard on this area but I think it was worth it, I think I managed to make this area really cool looking, but ultimately that is up to you and your players :D
One more area to go and then the whole thing will be done. As I mentioned in the last update I'll clean up the edges that connect once I'm done so it looks better.
Looking forward to finishing this one, was a fun project and I'll probably do it again at some point. So much work lol
------
Update 22nd June: Added the second section of the map! The Reef area is a vibrant, densely packed place leading deeper into the ocean and the next section which will be a cave type area.
I actually leaned into making asset brushes a lot with this one (and the previous area), you can see me making a whole bunch in the timelapse. I'm brand new to making asset brushes so I'm on the fence about how they turned out and how it fits or doesn't fit into my overall style. Hopefully you lot dig the outcome, let me know if you have feedback though!
I'm also going to clean up the edges where the maps connect when I've done them all, but for now they will look a little off.
------
Here is the first section of the Ocean Mega Map! It is the Tide Pools area, the 'starting point' of the whole map if you were to use them altogether.
I'll be updating this post with the other sections as I complete them, meanwhile I hope y'all enjoy this one so far! Gonna be a fun challenge making the map go deeper and deeper into the ocean, hopefully I manage to pull it off lol.
