ice storm
🕑 Added 2021-01-10 00:46:18 +0000 UTCoh yeah, in the video I posted here a week ago I said that I was about to get an ice storm. the storm definitely didn't disappoint and gave scenery that was out of this world. after the freezing rain stopped, we got hit with two rounds of snow, followed by several days of thick freezing fog that left a thick coating of ice crystals on everything. I had a lot of short power interruptions over the past week but nothing major. unfortunately there is a ton of tree damage in the area though. in fact trees are still coming down as the ice melts and refreezes on the branch tips!!
i know it's not laser/electricity related, but i still thought these pics were cool enough to share with you guys :p (i'm a huge weather nerd btw)

That is a great image! We have the same phenomena here, in the Pacific Northwest of America. When it happens I go into the old growth forest and listening to the absolute silence accompanied by the snapping of limbs. Symphony of life. Thank you for sharing these. You are one well balanced individual. Keep the spice of life!

Weather nerd here also. Based on just the photos most of the trees look pretty much the same here (Finland) at some point of the winter. I don't remember ice storm being brought up at any point. I probably need to google if we have an equivalent thing. The photos look very nice regardless!
