Overclocking a Plasma Lighter
🕑 Added 2020-04-13 18:18:13 +0000 UTCFor my next video I'm planning on continuing my "Overclocked" series with a mega plasma lighter video. My intent was to go the route of a several kW, vacuum tube based RF plasma generator, but now I'm considering a smaller solid state version that would be portable. The tube based version would be much stronger, but the solid state version would be small enough that it would be less of a stretch to call it a "plasma lighter" when finished. :D
Which would you rather see?

Alright, I hope you can get to a point one day where that’s a reality, if there was anyone that I wanted to learn how to build a laser from, it would be you haha, plus with your showmanship, I think you’d make a great teacher. Keep it up!

Honestly I probably won't for the time being. I know nothing about microcontrollers or digital circuits which is a pretty big bottleneck. I'd be more comfortable teaching introductory electromagnetism, but even then I'm not ready to take on additional video+editing projects right now

As a pyromaniac I only know how to use tubes in tesla coils and plasma generators :D

Also, what are the chances of you making a series on basic electronics? You you’re literally on the cutting edge of home electronic workshops and I would love to learn what you know

As a guitarist, I only know tubes for what they’re used in amplifiers so I really just want to see how you would use them to make plasma. Tubes and old school tech like that is awesome

While your light sabers are awesome, for me it gets really crazy when you build insane stationary devices. I can watch these videos over and over again. So Multi-kW stationary for me.
