Happy Sunday. As I’m planning content for WFG, I’m wondering whether I should place the setting in the real world New England circa the mid-1600s (with plenty of supernatural elements) or in a fantasy world that looks an awful lot like 17th century New England, but all the names are changed.

Either one is fine. I imagine that many of us will simply transport it into our own game worlds. For me, that'll be Forgotten realms.

shame to see how people dislike real world settings, that's why I love Call of Cthulhu as opposed to all those fantasy RPGs like D&D or Pathfinder
