[All Patrons] The Witchfinder's Grimoire: Monster Pack 1
🕑 Added 2023-07-31 16:29:24 +0000 UTCFollowing up on my last announcement, I figured I'd share a bit of the content that I'm thinking of releasing. I'm going to slowly work at a book that will debut later this year, building content here as a I go. You, my dear patrons, will receive regular posts with the content and see it in its "raw" and early stages.
This first monster pack features a bunch of cool monsters I made over the weekend using art from Rick Hershey (Fat Goblin Games) and Nacho Lazaro. And there's more on the way. But I figured this way enough to get things rolling so I can write adventures.
The monster pack has everything from minion-level critters like witch devils and pukwudgies to deadly, boss-level adversaries like the hodag, Grandma Death, and the Spirit of the Wood. There's also a ton of new cult fanatics.

Note: the blank pages are placeholders so I don't split up some of the larger creature features, such as Grandma Death and the Spirit of the Wood.

Yeah, Rick definitely pulled inspiration from that, and I just filled in the details, particularly with its ability to cast "weird." I might add regional effects later to make nightmares common in its presence.

Hey, this looks really good, I'm liking it. The blood spatter behind the artwork is really cool. I will say however, and this could just be a personal thing and my brain struggles with it... I personally find some of the 'Monster names' hard to read due to the font used. I looks very thematic, but some of the less obvious names I find myself looking for a few seconds trying to register what it says. Please ignore me if everyone else is fine, could just be me. lol.
