Status Update - 2018-06-19
🕑 Added 2018-06-19 08:44:00 +0000 UTC I finally have some time off from client work. I really need some time to relax, recharge and, of course, work on MMM.What I recently did:
iOS Builds
What a time sink. The combination of iOS, GoogleVR and Resonance Audio (also developed by Google) is no fun. While everything works nice on other platforms, having both Resonance and the GoogleVR SDK on iOS leads to conflicts and problems on iOS. And to make things worse, I am working on that on my Mac mini, which is kinda slow. So it takes forever to compile from Unity to the Xcode project and then Xcode takes even longer to compile and throw the errors in the end.
But there are good news, I upgraded my Mac mini on the weekend, replacing the old HDD with a fast SSD. Finally things seem to be quite fast again, the HDD was definitely the bottleneck.
Oculus Go / GearVR Support
Not much to say except that I finalized the support for thee mobile Oculus devices.
What I hope to accomplish next:
Unity Conference Unite Berlin 2018
This week I'm at Unite. It'll be great. But it also means that I won't accomplish much for MMM this week. Maybe on the weekend
Oculus Rift Support
I hope this will be quite swift as I already use the Oculus SDK. So it will probably come down to support the Touch controllers as well as refining gamepad support and supporting the Oculus remote (Does anyone ever use that thing?).
Alpha 11: repair iOS support and prepae release to Beta supporters
I plan to finally release Alpha11 to Beta supporters tonight or tomorrow. iOS builds will be there but they might not be 100% functional.
