Status update - 2018-04-04

New Version 0.10.0
Last week was very good and as things worked out nicely, I released Alpha 10 on the weekend.
Splash Screen
The default splash screen, espiacially in VR was a rather lame icon managed by the system, it was low resolution, ugly, and was static. Now there is a proper splash scene that looks a lot better in VR. It needs some improvement in terms of visual look, but I think it's a good improvement over before. It also has a nice spinning loading icon.

"Better Sleep" feels good to me now. I wondeer what patrons say. Apart from that I overhauled and improved "Power Nap" again. And "Ready For the day" works just perfect for me, not sure if there is much room for improval on that one. I'm looking forward to your feedback!
More settings
There are three new settings in MMM.
First, you can now set the spirals to be always be locked to your head. If you prefer it that way, you can just set this and don't have to use the in-session menu each and every time to do it again and again.
Second and third new setting can be set before starting a custom session.
Did you ever want a session even though the creator didn't set it to be looping? Now you can loop a custom session, enabling you to enjoy a session for hours. Of course, this goes both ways, you can decide you don't want to loop a session that is designed to be. There might be uses for that, too.
Last but not least, you can now disable the in-session menu. It removes a possible distraction and if you want to prevent yourself from stopping the session through the menu, this option is for you.
Improved sound
I now make use of Google's Resonance spatial sound system. It is a very performant system for realistic sound in VR. You can make out a source oof a sound much better. So far I only make use of it in the hub scene for the ocean waves and in the Better Sleep session, the hypnotists voice is now circling around your head, slightly above you. It sounds really nice to me.
What I hope to accomplish this week:
Tracking
I took care of the concept last week and now it's time to implement it. I'll make a universal system for the app so that most errors will be tracked. I will also track when a bundled session is played and if it is completed or quitearly. That is all. For the session maker I will only track the errors.
Platform Release planning
I'll have to start preparing for shop releases. To do that I will make not only a plan but will also register in each shop (if i'm not already), check platform requirements, research the SDKs for motion controllers, etc.
More Content
It's time to start working on the two other hypnosis sessions. The one for creativity and the other one for improved confidence.
