Chapter 861 : Unpredictable Life...

Fujin's chakra reserves, even though extraordinary for his age, weren't particularly outstanding for a rank S ninja. While his reserves exceeded that of Hiruzen's, it was more so due to Hiruzen's reserves deteriorating with his age.
After all, Fujin was only 17 years old. He hadn't completely matured yet and had a lot of scope to improve unlike most other rank S ninjas who had matured decades ago. Following his previous progression, Fujin's reserves would have doubled in around 5 years, placing him above average among the rank S ninjas in terms of chakra reserves. And, his chakra reserves would have continued to grow, though the rate of growth would become very slow.
This was why Hiruzen didn't want Fujin to take any needless risks. From his perspective, such chakra reserves would be more than sufficient for Fujin. As long as he continued honing his Ninjutsu over that period, Hiruzen believed Fujin could reach a similar level as him or perhaps even exceed him!
Of course, Fujin couldn't wait that long since he knew the future to an extent. He explored every possible path to increase his strength. And, his years of research, experiments and persistence finally borne results.
The smile on Fujin's lips widened as he continued examining his body. He thought, ‘And, this isn't a mere quantitative growth. Unlike the artificial chakra lake reservoir in my inner world, my body doesn't contain any reserves of chakra. Instead, it is created by combining my physical and spiritual energies.
As such, both my physique and my spirit have grown stronger. It's almost as if I have trained continuously for 7 or 8 years! I won't face any adverse impacts of the sudden increase in my strength as this growth is comprehensive. It isn't like the Jinchurikis who suddenly get overwhelmed by their respective Tailed Beast's chakra. The only major drawback for me should be my chakra control. It'll be off for some time. Luckily, fixing it isn't difficult. Anyway…’
In the basement, Fujin's eyes finally opened. His chakra suddenly flared, as he finally experienced the immense growth in his strength. Yet, a complicated expression appeared on his face.
Fujin thought, ‘My strongest affinity is Wind while Lightning is my second strongest affinity. As such, I should have had the highest chance of awakening Swift Release. Yet, despite studying that dead body a bit, I still have no clue about how to awaken it.
My third strongest affinity is Fire, and it lags quite a long distance from Lightning. However, I had quite a lot of assistance with the Swift Release. Using Soul Transformation jutsu to occupy Takeshi's body and experience how he moulds his chakra first hand was a huge help.
I can replicate the Scorch jutsus to near-perfection. Apart from experienced ninjas like Hiruzen, Orochimaru or ninjas with very high perception, very few would realize that I haven't awakened Scorch Kekkei Genkai yet. Even so, I was confident this would be the first Kekkei Genkai I learn and master. To think life can be this unpredictable. Hehe, I suppose that's what makes it interesting!’
Fujin extended his right hand, pointing it towards a few broken kunai lying in one corner of the basement. Suddenly, the kunai vibrated, before being yanked towards Fujin! It slid halfway along the ground before stopping.
Fujin thought, ‘Now that’s something I speculated but wasn't very confident in gaining. The Magnet Release, same as what Naruto gained on getting a small portion of Shukaku's chakra. That said, it is far more difficult than I expected. Sigh, another field that'll need long training hours to master…
Oh well, can't complain about this. In addition to awakening Magnet Release, I can feel my affinities to Wind and Earth natures have increased. In Wind, the difference isn't substantial as my affinity was already ridiculously high. However, even a small increase in my control over Wind could be lethal considering the level I'm at.
The bigger surprise is my Earth affinity. I feel like it has become greater than my Lightning affinity. Of course, the combat prowess of the two elements can't be matched due the weapons I possess and advanced Lightning jutsus I know. However, it adds another aspect I can improve on in the future…’
Fujin analyzed for a bit before wondering, ‘Will my non-existent affinity to Water be fixed if I absorb a part of Isobu's chakra? It'll be worth a shot to test it. Not to mention, I should also get a part of Son Goku's chakra. I should awaken the Lava Release and increase my Fire and Earth affinities with his chakra. I suppose Matatabi could also help with Fire Release.
It's a shame Kokuo is already captured by Akatsuki. Getting a part of his chakra would be the most difficult. Though I never faced him, Han's usage of Steam Release was quite strong according to Konoha's intel.’
Fujin quickly analyzed how he could use the Tailed Beasts to the fullest extent to exploit his Myriad Tetragram Seal. Several ideas appeared in his mind, though he was far from implementing any. The only one who troubled him was Kokuo.
Fujin decided, ‘Tsk, Kokuo is truly difficult. Unless I could perhaps force Nagato to summon the Gedo Statue and make the Gedo Statue attack me with Kokuo like how Obito did in the fourth war. However, that's too far-fetched…
Oh well, it doesn't matter much whether I get the Steam Release or not. Simply adding Kekkei Genkai is more or less useless for me. There's no point in collecting them all. What is more important for now is to continuously increase my strength before the Fourth Great War breaks out. Anyway…’
A smirk appeared on his face as disappeared from the spot he was sitting at and punched the air in front of him with full strength. The force of his punch tore through the air, creating a small gust that swept for a few meters. Even though the display seemed unimpressive, Fujin's smirk had widened. He muttered, “Time to test my new strength!”
Of course, Fujin wouldn't test it in his house, not when there was a training ground just across his house. He walked out of the basement while wondering, ‘How long did it take to absorb Shukaku's chakra?’
He glanced towards the clock and thought, ‘Hmm, just around 8 hours… Not bad for 7.5% of Shukaku's chakra. As long as the chakra doesn't develop sentience, I should be fine sealing and absorbing around 20% chakra of the Tailed Beasts, not including Kurama of course. Eh?’
As soon as Fujin opened his door, Monkey flickered right in front of him and quickly said, “Fujin! You've finally appeared! Lady Tsunade wants to see you immediately!”
Fujin frowned and thought, ‘That's weird. What does she want from me so quickly? It couldn't be Shukaku's chakra. My basement's seals are perfect. There's no way chakra leaked out or anyone sensed what was happening inside.’
Fujin said, “Calm down. What is the situation?”
The Monkey immediately answered, “Orochimaru infiltrated into the village and kidnapped Uchiha Sasuke!”
Fujin's eyes widened. He immediately calculated, ‘Another event that happened similar to the original story despite all the variables… Still, this is more understandable than the events during the assault. There's no way Orochimaru would have given up on Sasuke. That said, I didn't think he'd show up himself. I don't know what his current gender is, but he definitely has balls.’
Fujin thought for half a minute before concluding, ‘Well, whatever. Since he's so insistent on signing his death certificate, who am I to stop him? It's good that he kidnapped Sasuke, saves me from a headache.
However, since Sasuke hasn't gone willingly, there might be some more complications. Luckily, there are three years until then. By that time, I should be able to teleport over thousands of kilometers. As long as he doesn't accidentally remove my mark on Sasuke, I can hunt his main body with ease.’
“Fujin?” Monkey called out when he noticed Fujin deep in thought.
Fujin asked, “Did they uncover any clues regarding Orochimaru?”
Monkey answered, “I am not aware. I heard Jiraiya-sama and Shikaku-sama are looking into it, but there has been no news for the last couple of days.”
Fujin had expected it. Hunting Orochimaru was a ridiculously difficult task. However, what caught him off guard were Monkey's last words. “Couple of days? When was Sasuke kidnapped?” Fujin asked.
Monkey answered, “A little over 2 days ago.”
A weird expression appeared behind his mask as he heard Fujin ask, “How many days did I not leave my house?”

Yeah. Like, imagine if Minato was able to freely control all of his marked kunai after throwing them. FTG is pretty much instant at his level, so he could just seamlessly re-grab control after each warp. Funnily enough Fujin wont even need that due to his battlefields. Another potential use for magnet style would be to momentarily freeze/move away the kunai/sword/whatever an enemy uses for a block. Again, mildly pointless for Fujin. Name one shinobi that Fujin HAS to engage with his sword that has enough chakra flow (or a blade at least as tough as Kusanagi) to block Fujins chakra flow.

Protecting his house from the Moon makes more sense, although, I wonder if at that time he'll be traveling the world and also want to see the Moon, I don't know if he would avoid Hanabi's kidnapping, it would be funny to see what would happen if he falls into the crab's genjutsu XD (And maybe it touches him that he's perhaps alone in the sense that the Naruto manga receives the most complaints XD).

Fujin, with his Magnet Release, could mimic Jigen's rods, specifically the attack he uses against Kawaki. To achieve this, he could prepare hundreds of iron rods and inscribe them with seals to increase their durability, as well as add seals that explode on contact and possibly poison, although I doubt this would be useful against the top tiers of the Naruto world. However, it could help him eliminate cannon fodder or create chaos. Now that Fujin has improved his affinity with the Earth Release, he could attempt to steal the scrolls containing the jutsus used by Onoki, just as he did in Kumogakure. To accomplish this, he could use the methods I mentioned earlier.

I don't know if it's canon or filler, but I saw a magnetic release from a Kumo ninja that magnetized his weapons, which basically turned them into homing weapons when only one was enough for contact to track the rest of the projectiles. Very different from the magnetic release that he either controls sand, gold dust or iron sand, I wonder what path of magnetic release Fujin will choose to integrate into his combat style if he could, I would bet on normal sand, because it is the easy one to recreate and invoke at all times. Also the easiest to hide, from an enemy.

That is true, but if I remember right, the Dust release is classified as a Kekkei Tota or something similar because it’s a mix of 3 elements. I actually meant the only one to master several different KG releases without being born with it. I am forgetting a bit of the Lore Hex has created for the story of Recreating or creating KG releases, but it should be near impossible

I understand. My best bet would be Tsunade still training her, and her continuing to receive tutoring from Illumi. I’d imagine with the chakra control she posses, a natural in it. She could fight close range with super strength and continuously bombard the enemy with sealless genjutsu, such as change of depth perception, a fist slightly to the left or right and much more.

One combination I’ve been thinking of, is, using magnet release to draw in enemies by gripping onto their kunai and various other metals, and once close enough quickly initiate wind domain. Or at least get them airborne so they are unable to escape his wind dome

I'm not sure about him being the only one. I'm confused by the dust element and its users. The second Tsuchikage Muu created the dust element and it would be fine if only his descendants could wield it. But Muu "passed on the secrets" of the dust element to Oonoki. That is, in fact, Oonoki did not initially possess the dust element like in most cases of kekkei genkai users, he learned it. The same with Fujin, he did not create an unknown kekkei genkai from scratch, he tried himself, but learned mainly thanks to the experience of another user through the soul technique. (We are talking only about the release of Scorch)

I think that's too unrealistic in this situation. Fujin has a lot of grand plans for training and very little time to implement them. Sakura is a much less promising choice for training than Sasuke. If Fujin thought that even Sasuke wasn't worth it, then Sakura is even less so. It would be better for him to spend this time on himself and focus on his strength. At most, he can teach a few tricks, and that's only at the request of Hiruzen or Tsunade.

It was more in a joking tone and a short one to launch my complaint to the things that come out in the Naruto novels. Although it made me remember that before I mentioned that this Sakura can go down the Genjutsu route, due to Illumi's influence, but with what Hiruzen, Tsunade, and Jiraija saw, she would be recommended as a student for Tsunade, it still makes me a little solemn because of another fic, which I read "bet for a lifetime", where the Naruto, Tsunade, Sakura bond is something. and as a NaruSaku Shipper, I only have longings for what could have been something that had too many resources to be real. The worst thing is Sasuke in that fic, he redeems himself and does not let himself be manipulated, although I already digress too much.

A crazy thought that came to my mind is that Fujin would take Sakura to go on a training trip too, XD, because he doesn't want to seem inferior to Orochimaru and Jiraija XD, of course, Sakura's potential is still limited and the most he would get out of her would be a normal Kage, possibly inferior to Tsunade (I will never count those novels, the information is the most dubious and they almost justify everything based on nothing).

yeah im definitely getting tired of fujin keeping so many secrets, he already has the FTG and lightning release hidden, adding a third thing would seem redundant at this point. that being said, konoha higher ups might get suspicious if they also see his increased chakra reserves alongside magnet release and put 2 and 2 together.

Remember when naruto used the curse mark seals + chakra from shukaku and used them to form the magnet release rasengan? What if Fujin could weave fuinjustu into the magnetic particles. Put some FTG seals in the particles, spread them across a battle field and boom, GG's. I feel like using the Fuin battlefield won't work against anyone relative to him. Not the battlefield itself but actually deploying it. Anybody Fujin decides he needs to use it on would likely be fast enough to avoid it. If he can use fuinjustu in the magnetic particles, that would be the perfect work around cause who would even consider that possible?

What we learned in this chapter: Sasuke has the FTG mark on him His bijuu seal works perfectly and allows him to receive the bijuu affinities. Capturing bijuu chakra is by far the best method for Fujin to get stronger, seeing as he had so little chakra (7.5) and it gave him near 7-8 years of training.

I always had the doubt, if the Jiton helps the sealing abilities, because it seems that it does, but at the same time I have no idea how that is related. Outside of that, it seems that Shiden's cover can be totally covered with the Water thing, if the Isobu is obtained, although I also wonder if in this world Yukimaru the child of Guren exists (Fujin the new talent collector XD), since the girl Kurama exists, but not the boy Sora. Who knows. Rambling things I have to think that Naruto who trains with Jiraija is more motivated to bother Jiraija for new Jutsus, he already had Kakashi teach him, Great Advance and Gale Palm. The waves of Raging Waters, and air bullets would be something, that if I remember correctly at least Yahiko and Nagato showed, I suppose on behalf of Jiraija. And Sakura in this topic seems that she could rather take the Genjutsu route unless Fujin pushes her to Medical Ninjutsu.

Kinda redundant tbh, since Winds pretty much kill nearly everyone. And the few that his winds can't kill won't be too affected by Magnet Release. Bigger gain is to counter other Magnet Release users, since Wind Domain was slightly vulnerable to it.
