Chapter 894 : Complications!

[By the way, I'll try to increase the pacing a bit here onwards. The training is almost over (unless you want to see Fujin train Earth jutsus (in which case ideas for original Earth jutsus are welcome)).]

“Better than you, Sensei?” Shoma asked in surprise.
Fujin smiled and nodded. He said, “Anyway, all of you are exhausted. Take today off. We'll start our training session tomorrow.”
As excited as the kids were, they were barely able to stand. The clash with Hoka had left them completely drained. They nodded and went to their rooms to take a nice long nap. Luckily, none of them were injured as Hoka was careful to ensure he didn't hurt them too much and Fujin had healed whatever injuries they still got.
Standing alone in the training ground, Fujin entered deep in thought. If his students or Hoka saw him at this moment, they would think Fujin was planning the training of his students based on their recent talks. However, Fujin's mind was in an entirely different place. He wondered, ‘Now then, how do I get my hands on Edo Tensei jutsu?’
The problem was a rather complicated one. There was a reason Fujin wanted to gain it easily by leveraging his relationship with Hiruzen. Unfortunately, Hiruzen had displayed that he had no intention of giving forbidden jutsus of that level to Fujin just yet. The old man was adamant. Fujin couldn't weasel his way in with some sort of deal like he usually did.
Of course, it wasn't as if Fujin didn't have an idea of the reason behind Hiruzen's decision. It hadn't been too long since Konoha was attacked by one of his former students. Unlike a village like Kumogakure, the danger Konoha faced was far more often from within than outside. This had especially increased a lot in the latter part of Hiruzen's regime, with several Konoha ninjas being a victim of his or Danzo's policies. So, it wasn't as if he was completely innocent in this matter either. Regardless, he didn't want this state of affairs to continue in the next generation.
Fujin sighed and returned to his home to relax and make a thorough plan. He sat in his meditation room as several ideas clashed in his mind. Needless to say, the very first idea in his mind was the most obvious one - using his Akuro identity to steal the techniques from Konoha, just like he had done in Kumogakure.
However, Fujin shook his head and sighed again, ‘No, there are too many complications. There's a lot of scope for things to go horribly wrong…’
The very first complication was Akuro's nature. He had brutally killed Kumogakure ninjas to get what he wanted. Even though he had tapered down recently, his bloodthirsty nature was well known.
If Fujin were to use his Akuro's disguise to steal from Konoha, he would be expected to mercilessly cut down any one in his path, irrespective of whether he was close to that person or not. Any hesitation or refusal to kill would raise suspicions. Especially since Fujin planned on teaching Yuji the Lightning Chakra Mode.
Fujin thought, ‘That said, I could side-step this complication by simply not fighting. Other villages should soon learn of my recent clash against Darui's squad and that I spared all their lives. I don't think they'll learn of Akuro's belief in karma, but that shouldn't matter much.
Not to mention, Kumogakure didn't have a single rank S ninja when I ransacked it. By comparison, Tsunade and Hiruzen always stay within the village. My absence from the village isn't known to others, so I'll be expected to be here as well. Kakashi and Guy are also in the village when not on missions. And there's Danzo, the Shinobi of Darkness, who's current strength is a mystery to almost everyone.
Akuro not wanting to pick up a fight here wouldn't be too strange. No famous ninja in the world would dare to take on such a line up. Forget the rest, just Hiruzen, who is back on his feet after defeating Orochimaru and sealing a dozen former Kages, is a massive deterrent for any ninja at that level.
So, Akuro escaping immediately after being discovered won't raise too many eyebrows. Of course, there will be a small drawback of Akuro's prestige being slightly lowered, but that wouldn't be much. After all, Darui's squad is still alive despite so many clashes with me. And, Akuro hasn't fought against a ninja at the top of the ninja world like Ay or Onoki. Most villages, including Konoha, speculate Akuro to be a ninja at that level and not someone beyond it.
So, this can deal with the first problem. Unfortunately, this is just the start…’
The next problem for Fujin was a rather peculiar one. It was Fuinjutsu! Konoha's Fuinjutsu was ahead of the other villages by an entire level. Fujin had benefited heavily from it. However, therein lay the problem.
In terms of using Fuinjutsu in the battlefield, Fujin had a clear edge over other Grandmasters. With the exception of forbidden techniques like the Reaper Death Seal, no one came close to how Fujin had incorporated Fuinjutsu into his combat style.
However, that didn't imply Fujin was the best Grandmaster. Unlike Fujin, the remaining Grandmasters focused on creating seals that had other applications. Every Grandmaster had created several such unique seals, which they rarely shared with others. Fujin was still in the dark about what they could do.
For several years, Fujin fell short of the other Grandmasters in this area purely due to his youth. He only overcame it when he created the Myriad Tetragram Seal, which was unarguably one of the most powerful seals ever created by ninjas. However, just creating such a seal didn't mean Fujin could magically deal with the seals created by other Grandmasters without studying them.
Due to the vast number of Grandmasters who lived in Konoha, the vast heritage of the many ninja clans in the village, and most importantly, their relationship with the Uzumaki Clan, Konoha had a vast collection of such seals. Though Fujin studied some, either openly or in secret, there were many he couldn't.
While those seals couldn't be used for village walls, there were several of them used within important places inside the village. Those were the places he would have to search, making his job much more difficult. The difficulty would be several levels higher than what he had done in Iwagakure and Kumogakure.
Fujin thought, ‘If it was just these issues, it still wouldn't have stopped me. These seals can't stop Flying Thunder God jutsu. I'd escape and retry until I figured out every secret of these seals. Unfortunately…’
A helpless smile appeared on Fujin's face. He didn't know where the scrolls for Edo Tensei and other forbidden techniques were kept… the Scroll of Sealing was merely a bait to lure greedy individuals. Fujin didn't know where the real scrolls were. It was important to remember that Fujin found no traces of Dust Release when he ransacked the Tsuchikage building. Though he found the Third Raikage's notes on how he created the Lightning Chakra Mode, he found nothing about the final version of the Lightning Chakra Mode in Kumogakure.
So, finding what he wanted in Konoha would be equally difficult, if not harder due to the above complications. Fujin decided, ‘No, Akuro's way wouldn't work in Konoha. I'll needlessly expose myself too much. Also, Akuro appearing after Hiruzen refused to give me Edo Tensei will create even more suspicions. Sigh… I need to think of another way. I don't mind if that way creates even more suspicion as long as I have a higher chance of getting what I want…’
Fujin continued sitting in the meditation room, thinking of every possible way he could get his hands on the Edo Tensei jutsu. Minutes turned into hours as Fujin sat like a statue. The Sun eventually set and a couple of hours later, the last candle in his room burnt out, engulfing the room in complete darkness.
At that very instant, an idea clicked in Fujin's mind. Fujin tossed the idea away almost immediately due to how absurd and risky it was. However, he couldn't help but come back to it. As he analyzed it, the idea took root deep within him. Eventually, Fujin muttered, “Yeah… Why not? It'll be like killing two birds with one stone. If it works, I'll get everything I want from Hiruzen and perhaps even more. However, can this even be done? If so, how can I do this?”
Once again, Fujin fell deep into thoughts, thinking of ways to bring his absurd idea to life. Fujin analyzed for another half an hour before concluding, ‘Not only is this absurdly difficult to implement, but there are so many variables and risks that it's almost impossible for things to happen how I want… I need something. Something impactful and alluring. However, what can that be?’
Fujin continued thinking through the night, thinking of countless ways to implement his idea and tossing all of them out. As the Sun rose, Fujin sighed, ‘Whatever, there's no hurry to implement this… No, I can't hurry even if I could implement this idea. Hiruzen has just rejected me. I need to wait for at least a month or two before making my move. It gives me plenty of time to create a good plan. I can only hope it'll work…’
Fujin stretched his body as he finally got up. He left his basement and was greeted by the sunrays. Surprise appeared on his face as he thought, ‘Jeez, I stayed up through the night planning this… Oh well, at least I have an idea of where to start. It's time to guide them and make my exit.’

1. earth walls like avatar, it's much better than in Naruto since it's much more fluid, adaptable and extremely quick. being able to summon a wall of variable size and shape to attack and defend, while not needing to use any signs or having to touch the ground. At the highest level they could just summon a wall without even moving. 2. Hovering rocks. make rocks of different sizes hover in the air, it can be used as projectiles or be used by the user to step on and move thru the air. 2a - at a high level of mastery the user can use a rock to fly around like a nimbus, or you can have the user manipulate tiny rocks that he's wrapped around his body, and by manipulating the rocks/earth he can essentially fly freely. 2b The user can shape the rocks into sharp projectiles like a massive drill bit and then rotate it, throw some wind application if you want and then he can launce the projectiles and almost pierce thru anything. maybe the strongest attack could be a mountain sized drill bit spinning with wind nature and then bam! 3. earth and water combo, The user can make the earth soft or hard and allow it to be more flexible, almost swap like attacks to catch enemies, or throw rocks that turn to mud which splatters on them and then you can harden it to catch them off guard. You can make a better rocks armour that's more fluid or hard when needed. Maybe even create giant hands to control, attack and defend stuff. 4. a domain. the highest level the user can have manipulate all the earth in his area without signs, so if the enemy is fighting in the domain, then you could literally just use the earth under him to stab him, crush him or whatever. 5. human sized rocks that you compressed to bullet size and then shoot it from every where you want. like that blue guy from guardians of the galaxy but instead you can have multiple bullets and control it freely. that's just the rocks/earth. didn't want to touch the tree or life stuff. but these can scale up or down depending on how you want to run it

Also, considering Mieko's last moments, she was thinking about MC with unfulfilled wish, which would imply she's not in pure land, but waiting at the middle plane or crossroads or purgatory for Fujin like Rin did for Obito in the canon, which would then again imply, shes easier to "recall". This again would imply that if we see her again with her staying in the crossroads, she would be perfectly aware of every little thing, unlike in Pure Land, where the summoned is not aware of passing of the time. correct me if im wrong, but this is based on Canon lore.

Rinnegan can revive dead, but you need a body. Mieko is 6 feet under. Maybe he could steal orochimaru's tech and regenerate body for her, but that's pretty far fetched.

Theres potentially few places he could get Edo Tensei. Orochimaru Hiruzen Danzo (Inherited Second Hokage's research and other dark responsibilities) Kabuto Second Hokage Last 2 need to be re-animated by the jutsu itself to tell about the jutsu. Or he could steal/copy/memorize it if he knows where its being kept.

Well, no point rebelling when he can ask mission to take 2-3 years off from village easily and go travel around. Instead i'm more curious about Phantom Heaven Society in Land of Rivers, given that multiple villages including Orochimaru are operating there. Also, I wonder if Zetsu knows about them. Who will come scouting first lol, and is he gonna increase the defences of the main base and outer bases, or better, make them automatic somehow, including the curse sealing process so he doesent always need to manually apply curse to every new member.

Maybe if he can develop his body like the third raikage did with lightning release he could resist it and gear 2 only drained the lifespan before timeskip, then luffy learned to use it more efficiently

It would be not big deal if fujin have uzumaki or senju bloodline - btw since asking for edo tensei from grandpa kinda not go anywhere, I wonder if fujin should just try to learn Strength of a Hundred Seal from lady tsunade, it an op jutsu, especially instance regeneration definitely eliminated one of fujin weakness, like his civilian body could not compare to senju or uzumaki clan in tanking dmg

Well there are two option there, first you have to think about who you to resurect and he only have to ask Nagato, or second it needs a body to resurect the people, either a normal one or an Edo Tensei and Fujin is already targeting this jutsu and the uchiha are all in their grave so easy to have theim there

Huh, nagato probably can't. I don't know what madara thought about reviving, but rinne rebirth won't work on people who died long time ago. If it did, then nagato would've ressurected the whole Konoha from present to past generations instead of the people who just died in that invasion.

Wasn't there something about a time accelarating seal, just use that or try with the dragon vein ( it wasn't destroyed in the movie and it was sealed by minato with the flying thunder god so fujin could probably unseal it ) to send her back in the past around the time she dissepeared and tell her to be very discrete, plus if he target well enough, he can send her the night of the massacre to awaken her mangekyou the same way she got the 3 tomoe with a lot of seals to make her completly invisible and them let her train slowly on her own like the boss of phantom heaven

I think if it's like in "Solo leveling" when the main character turned back time and fixed everything, then it's probably fine. But if you just resurrect Mieko, then that's not a good option. Imagine that all her friends and classmates are 20+ years old and they are experienced jonin and some are even S-rank, someone even died, and she's only 12 years old and she just became a chunin.

Death isn't permanent in the Naruto world, I mean you just have to ask Nagato to bring Mieko back or, you know, the entire Uchiha clan, because if he is dying, a few hundred people won't make a big difference, especially if someone, like Fujin, tells them to maintain a low profil until Danzo is dead ( and the two other elder )

Should Fujin leave Konoha? I say no matter how much it gives him comfort, he no longer occupies anything in the village, he could very well become rebellious. Also, what is the need to keep so many characters alive, although I understand that he is not killing everyone, he could very well capture some tailed beasts. One more thing, why not use the Edo Tensei jutsu to revive Rin and annoy Obito?

It should be both. In this fic, Fujin wanted to steal the book of seals of kumo to find it there. The fact that it wasn't there mean it's an extremely secret and heavy guarded jutsu. And raikage are military based leader who're constantly trying maximise the combat power of their troop. So we can conclude he had many people trying to learn it, unsuccessfully. But the jutsu is still heavy guarded. In this fic, the fact that Fujin found it in dodai or whosever i forgot memories is confirming my claim.

Huh, are you planning to make fujin a rogue? Because, i feel like whether its attacking konoha as Akuro to steal the book of seals or teaching something as advanced as lightning chakra armor that less than 3-4 people in the ninja world history can use, nobody connecting the dots would insult everyone IQ in the 5 great nations. You know, that jutsu doesn't exist in konoha to begin with, and Fujin learning it by himself is already hard to swallow. Not to mention, kumo, in the litteral land of lightning has entire generations of people who couldn't master the lightning chakra armor, except for their kage lv fighter, and its literally their whole thing. Are you planning to make 1 of fujin student learn it as a child??? It look like Fujin students are even more broken than i thought. Every chapter look like you're glazing these children talents.

I think it would take a long time to develop and train such a technique. For now, it's a waste of time for Fujin. Maybe when he has time after the war and when he has a lot of time and is bored, he will do something like that.

I think for this to happen, Fujin's chakra needs to get into the blood or just into the body. It's like genjutsu. Strong ninjas will be able to protect themselves from this. Well, there are more effective and less expensive methods for eliminating a crowd.

Deal with orochimaru? Hes able to heal souls now that hes seen tsunade do it. Plus orochimaru is nearly healed anyway. He still has sharingans to trade as well if I remember right. He looted some during the itachi event. Im still salty he did not save the girl despite being able to do so lol.

Combining the exploding earth spears with increased weight jutsu. Which makes the exploding bits extremely hard to block. Being able to manipulate earth through Feet. An earth wall that turns into earth spear which is then propelled towards enemy, if dodged they explode. Some type of golem or horrific animal beast, maybe with fire inside of it to increase its speed and give it the ability make a flamethrower. Maybe some sort of horrific mud clone, that becomes more beast like, maybe changing its hands to blades appendages like the pokemon Scyther. It could incorporate weight jutsu in its fighting style alternating between light/heavy. Also able to create jutsu out of its own body. Question, is there a skill difference between, earth, mud, rock? Like are rock jutsus better than earth or what are the difference in your head? Supposedly Orochimaru’s mud shadow clone can take more of a beating than regular shadow clone.

I'm interested to see Renjiro's reaction to Sayaka's skills. And in a month, when other students go to Anbu, Hiruzen and Tsunade will be surprised by such monsters. :) After this, they will really think about whether to hand over the Uchiha to him?

By the way, regarding earth element techniques, Fujin found the light rock technique (the technique with which the Tsuchikage could fly)?

Did Fujin get gravity/weight manipulation from the scrolls he stole? If that's the case, then he might be able to fly like Superman or Mark. This could be possible if he combines all of his flying jutsus (Magnet Release one, Wind Cloak, and Onoki's Flying Jutsu) into one flighing technique.

Original idea for earth jutsu? If we’re talking traditional ground moving, forming rocks and spikes and such not much variety can think of. Could expand to reaching deep into the ground like magneto pulling more than just dirt out? My different idea would be gravity, like Brago from Zatch Bell. Technically earth based 🤷♂️
