Chapter 888 : The Strongest Faction!

Fujin's eyes widened as he exclaimed, “He died on the battlefield? Since when did the rebels have someone strong enough to kill him?”
As he spoke, Fujin thought, ‘Tsk… I don't remember how the Fourth Mizukage died in the original story… but I'm pretty sure he didn't die while fighting.’
Hiruzen replied, “That's the part that confuses us too. We know he was facing Terumi Mei and other elites from the rebel faction, but there aren't any details about his battle, like there were when Mangetsu was killed. Something about his death is fishy. You should look into it if you go around that region. However, don't create a ruckus. We want to form an alliance with Kirigakure once the dust settles.”
Fujin thought for a bit and said, “Alright. If I swing by that region, I'll take a look at this.”
While the Fourth Mizukage's death raised several questions, Fujin wasn't too interested in this matter. He already knew that Yagura was controlled by Obito for a long time and Mei would succeed him shortly, stabilizing the war-torn village. While he was curious of how exactly Yagura died, Fujin's immediate priority was absorbing Matatabi's chakra and learning the Earth Release jutsus he stole from Iwagakure.
Fujin said, “It was good catching up with you. I'll check on how those kids are doing.”
Hiruzen nodded as Fujin disappeared from the training ground. He sighed internally, ‘He's definitely upset over not getting the Edo Tensei jutsu. I hope he doesn't vent out by creating another mess…’
A few years ago, Hiruzen would have felt a headache. Luckily, he was no longer the Hokage. It was his student's turn to endure the headaches.

“You didn't show up for our last three meetings!”
“Guy-sensei made us train with double intensity on those days due to your absence!”
Fujin's students complained as they looked at Hoka with eyes full of disappointment, displaying the betrayal they faced!
Hoka sighed, “I just arrived late last night from my mission. Perhaps I should ask Fujin to arrange some missions for you. Only then you would know how valuable this time is for you.”
Yuji snorted, “You never trained under Guy-sensei. There's no way missions are worse than training under him!”
Hoka's eyes twitched as he recalled all the boring rank D missions he was forced to do as a Genin, before being forced to hunt bandits until he became sick. The ‘bandit exterminator’ tag still followed him at times, especially when he entered the mission center.
“Missions, huh? I didn't know you wanted to do missions so badly.” Everyone immediately turned their heads and saw Fujin standing not too far away.
“Sensei!”
“When did you return?”
The eyes of Fujin's students lit up on seeing him again after a few months. Fujin replied, “A few minutes ago. That said, I didn't know you were interested in doing missions. Hmm…”
Fujin pretended to think for a few seconds before muttering, “Under normal circumstances, you would have been inducted into the Anbu and trained in their ways after you defeat Hoka. Are you certain you want to do missions?”
Fujin's students nodded in unison and gave him the ‘puppy eyes’. Fujin pretended to think for another half a minute, before responding, “Alright, I'll talk to Lady Tsunade and get you a month's vacation to have some fun with missions. Hoka will be your squad leader.”
Fujin's students immediately cheered while Hoka grumbled, “Hey, how about asking whether I'm fine with it or not. Some of us still have to earn a living.”
Fujin looked at him as if he had said something absurd and asked, “Are you not fine with it? And, do you need any other form of payment?”
Realizing what he had been offered, Hoka coughed and replied, “On second thought, I accept it.”
As someone who was forced to do boring and tiresome missions, Hoka had long wished to subject the next generation to the same torture. And, Fujin had just offered him an opportunity to do so on a silver platter. He had no reason to decline it. On the contrary, he was more than pleased to accept it. Countless ninjas from his generation would be willing to pay for such an opportunity.
Of course, that was no reason for Hoka to go easy on the kids. He said, “Enthusiasm is good, but don't forget you still have to defeat me. You're yet to perform as well as you did the first time you challenged me.”
Hoka glanced at Fujin and thought, ‘What fearsome secrets these kids held! I almost lost that fight just due to the element of surprise. Just with their normal skills, they'll easily perform splendidly in the Chunin Exam. However, for each one of them to possess a Kekkei Genkai and be so proficient as using it was unthinkable. Fortunately, it's been a bit easier since then. Hmm?’
Hoka realized that Fujin's students were staring at him and asked, “What's the matter?”
Sayaka said in a plain tone, “You left us to endure Guy-sensei's torture for nearly a month.”
Takeshi added, “If you think we'll lose and go back to endure his torture, then…”
Yuji completed his words, “Then you must have fallen on your head, cracked your skull and gone completely batshit crazy!”
Hikari nodded, “Yea... Huh, what? Damn it Yuji! Stick to the script!”
Shoma chuckled at his teammates' antics.
Before they could create any more drama, Fujin said, “Well, since I'm here, I can't miss this battle. I'll act as the judge. Take your positions, I'll be right back.”
As soon as the last word escaped his lips, Fujin disappeared. Shoma asked in surprise, “Where did Sensei go?”
Sayaka replied, “It doesn't matter, he'll be back soon. Don't forget our plan, especially you, Yuji!”
Yuji nonchalantly replied, “I know. Don't worry, I'll be the one to knock him out.”
Hoka chuckled, “I'll look forward to it. Let's go.”
They entered the training ground and took positions. They turned their heads on feeling a gust of wind. Everyone was left speechless as they saw Fujin sitting on ‘air’ a few meters off the ground with a mini-whirlwind revolving around him. What irked them the most was the large bag off popcorn he held in his hands.
Fujjn's students wondered, ‘A judge? Or a spectator who wants to enjoy drama?’
At the same time, Hoka cursed, ‘Asshole, he is also making a spectacle of me.’
With zero regard for their emotions, Fujin announced, “Let the battle begin!”
Immediately, the figures of Fujin's students disappeared. Moments later, Hoka's figure disappeared as well, leaving an afterimage behind. That afterimage was tore into by several shurikens which clashed against each other with such ferocity that sparks flew. The six continued moving at high speeds, with Fujin's students going for the kill while Hoka dodged all their attempts.
A glint appeared in Fujin's eye. Though his students challenged Hoka nearly every week, this was the first time he was watching their battle. Fujin thought, ‘Marvellous... Hehehe, Guy must be very pleased. Sayaka, Yuji and Takeshi are displaying speed greater than Lee's speed when he removed his weights against Gaara. Hikari is almost at the same level as Lee back then, while Shoma lacks slightly. Can't blame him though, he's the youngest by a good margin.
Regardless, leaving them under Guy's care and making them fight Hoka weekly has yielded even better results than I imagined. At this rate…’
A smirk appeared on Fujin's face as he realized, ‘I might just push one of them into rank S before the Fourth Great Ninja War begins. Hehe, though I don't care much about it, I'll have the strongest faction in Konoha soon.’
The high-speed hunt continued for a couple of minutes. Hoka faced several close calls, but there wasn't a scratch on him. As quick as Fujin's students were, Hoka was faster. More importantly, his Kekkei Genkai was perfect for these type of combat. In a physical confrontation, their elemental Kekkei Genkai couldn't match the Byakugan.
The hunt finally ended when Hoka counterattacked. Instead of simply dodging, Hoka dodged and fired a Vacuum Palm at the vitals of his vicious attackers. However, that wasn't sufficient to make them withdraw. On the contrary, they escalated the situation. They quickly got out of the way of the vacuum shells and surrounded Hoka from all sides, each of them being around a dozen meters from Hoka and rapidly weaving hand seals.

It might be easier to stick to schedule if you have a set number of words per chapter. The author warmasaich posts chs with like 1000-1500 words per ch so if you get into a flow and write more than 1500 words you can save them for the next ch and this might even allow for you too get ahead of schedule and be able to post without even having to write that day or you could stack chs so you could take like a week break and not have to worry about writing while still being able to post without even. It feels like the chapters definitely have more than 1500 words normally so even if we get less content it could make it easier on you and more consistent for us.

In Naruto, it is very difficult to become an S-rank ninja, but only if you do not know how to smooth out this thorny path. Let's try to calculate everything. All 5 have motivation - a sad past. Are you arguing about the disparity of strength within S ranks or about the fact these 5-6 children could be equal to early shippuden kakashi? These children would turn less than 15 before the war. Wherea Kakashi, is 30, jonin with shit ton of experiences, battles iq, wars, thousands jutsu, which mean god-tier versality, a sharingan, a MS with kamui, and had yondaime as sensei. Even Pain was honored to meet Kakashi. Kakashi is the greastest genius in the verse with itachi. If itachi got nerfed by sickness, then kakashi by depression and sharingan draining.

The only kid I see achieving s rank is the one with Scorch Release since Fujin already gave him a path to create a very strong jutsu. Most characters who reach s rank have a strong foundation and a unique, overpowered jutsu, or they specialize in one element. The easiest way to help them reach s rank is by teaching them the rasengan and encouraging them to combine it with their Kekkei Genkai.

There are levels within rank S itself. In canon. Kakashi at the beginning of Shippuden is S rank with his MS. But he's nowhere near someone like Pain's level. I think the levels in S rank depend on the number of abilities you have in S rank or having one thing that can goes to a very high extreme. Like in canon Kakashi's case, his MS and probably his battle IQ/experience are probably both S rank. But in this series Kakashi will also have his Lighting at an extreme S rank, and the training he is enduring is supposed to also raise his bodies strength, so that will probably also be at S rank. I'm losing the original point, these kids have Kekki Genkai, and they are training in strong style. those 2 things added together can definitely reach S rank by the war. Remember, in canon Naruto was maybe close Jonin if that at the start of Shippuden.

All the genin of naruto generation are genius and potential heir of their respective clan, and they were all in the high chunin~tokubetsu jonin range. Including sakura and kyubi chakraless naruto (who were taken in by sannins for 3 years). Only neiji who showed us there are levels to genius in part 1 & shikamaru(with intel & preptime) were properly jonin lv. Sasuke, another genius among genius (ignore itachi) was elite jonin~kage lv, and that is with intensive training by himself living for vengeance + bursed bloodline sharingan + indra reincarnation potential + cursed seals mastered + orochimaru absorbed. Even sakura & tsunade were finding his strenght absurb and though he may have used drugs or went body modifications witt oro. Keep in mind they were 15+ yr. I'm even thinking Fujin 5-6 kids are even younger. Itachi & Kakashi are the greatest genius in the show, followed by minato, who Jiraya thought was the child of prophecy. Fujin 5-6 children look like of children of prophecy to me

Mate, it doesn't matter if it can one hit kill. Creating the jutsu takes time, which is sufficent for any experienced ninja to access the threat. Even though he didn't know about scorch release, Hoka would consider it a powerful Fire jutsu and be on guard. If that wasn't the case, ninjas would simply die too often and kekkei genkai clans would all be ridiculously powerful (far more than what they were shown to be (not considering the truly broken ones here of course))

Bruh, I never said all 5 😭😭 Fujin's words were - 'might push one of them' *cough* this one isn't entirely author's help. Danzo and Hiruzen deserve the credit 😅🤣 (PS: Please remember Fujin didn't find them (even among those 100+ kids). Hiruzen simply gave them to him to give Fujin some political backing after Danzo's powers were curtailed. These 5 were considered very talented even before they were given to Fujin). Consider them somewhat similar to Haku or Kimimaro (in terms of talent).

If all of them unified makes a power of S rank ninja, that would be realistic. Otherwise, I agree that creating 5 S rank ninjas in matter of 3 years requires something extraordinary even for Fujin. I think, Karin has a greater potential for that. From the Shippuden she showed that she can use Uzumaki chains, including her healing abilities. Fujin might have transplanted Sharinguns in her eyes, and then stimulate them to evolve up until Mangekyo. Her Uzumaki origin makes it possible to bear the burden of those eyes, while her emotional character, makes it possible to evolve her eyes. With great self healing abilities, enormous chakra reserve, Mangekyo Sharingun and Uzumaki chains she would be a strong S rank completely loyal to Fujin and ready to do any dark missions for him.

Yeah, but ninja is not about power level and sleep walking everyone because you're super strong. Intel is a huge part of the game. A jonin lv can easily get caugh in a genjutsu by surprise fighting a chunin lv uchiha with sharingan if he didn't see it coming. Even as a jonin, i wouldn't want to fight a genin with no intel of him having a one hit kill like scorch release.

War arc is a change in powerscaling & boosted everybody and their chakra (cough, cough, kakashi). Also, like i said, if you don't follow the 8 gates route. 8 gate almost kicked 6path madara. It's stronger than any kekkei genkai in my opinion and it's purely taijutsu, 6 path characters & rinnegan have no answer for it. Also Fujin finding himself 5-6 genius among genius is too convenient for him and clearly the author help. For them to be S rank before the war would need their level of genius to be comparable to kakashi & itachi, even surpassing sasuke. 5 in a lot? It's too much author

'Might' brother. It ain't guaranteed. Lee, during war arc, could open 6 gates. I think he could be considered rank S (at least when the 6 gates are opened). One thing we need to remember, these aren't 5 random kids. Danzo searched through most of the Land of Water and found over a hundred talented kids and these 5 are the most talented among them. Anyway, don't worry. I won't water down rank S :)

How does Fujin think they would get S rank before the war while shippuden is near. Is S rank just elite jonin or is it kage lv? It ain't easy to produce a kage lv shinobi no matter the kekkei genkai. Pakura was a genius & hero of suna with the shakuton & i don't even think she was kage lv all her life. Training under guy doesn't do all the magic. It reinforce your taijutsu and basics but it ain't game changing if you don't go the 8gate route. Lee can open the gates & trained with Guy all his life & i don't even think he was elite jonin at shippuden, maybe high jonin. You're simplifying getting stronger. Even just base jonin lv, a village spend huges times & resources to cultivate, stronger than that sometime would even need the kage himself to train them (sannins), and that is reserved to genius only or high prospects. Elite jonin like asuma & part 1 kakashi are super rare & luck based for any village to cultivate. Kage lv is a once or twice in a generation cultivating. The sannin was the exception and they only got there when they matured. I feel like you're simplifying strength grinding in the shinobi world to make Fujin faction stronger. The uchiha/senju are the strongest clans with the strongest kekkei genkai & despite all these avantages, it took them geniuses per generation (itachi, shisui, fugaku, izuna, madara, sasuke) to pass tge threshold of S rank. It's hard as hell to get stronger in the ninja world. All elite jonin & kage lv who are not rogue/missing-nin are considered legend and revered in their respective villages. You're telling me 5 children younger than sasuke would get to S rank raised by fujin??? Are they children of prophecy??
