Look Up : Framerating your way to beauty
🕑 Added 2024-10-11 15:50:40 +0000 UTCThank you so much for your answers on the polls !
From what I saw so far...
Finalizing existing levels and adding animations comes next.
Then comes VR.
I've also seen that a significant population runs Look Up on medium so... I'll tailor the experience for that. I've look how it looks in medium and it's not satisfactory, especially in terms of lights.
Anyway.
This is all aligned with my vision smiles softly
But first !
I'm working on optimizing the framerate.
Why ?
Because I'll need a decent framerate on all levels in order to know how much I can push them in terms of assets, lights, etc... and still give you a memorable experience !
So next version, the famous 0.8, will come quite fast with these additions :
- Light optimizations
- Fidelity FX super resolution
- Nvidia SLSS
- a framerate counter.
I've made many tests and by tweaking options, I managed to go from 40 fps to 80 fps on the heaviest level (Wombyrinthic sacrum) while keeping the experience satisfactory.
This is encouraging.
You're going to need that much frames for beautiful levels
and VR to be possible in the end smiles softly
Voila voila ! Stay tuned ! Be awesome !
Fidelity FX
Nvidia SLSS
Fidelity FX
Nvidia SLSS
