CD Weekly Update - .526a - Rio/Patel I 4/21/25
🕑 Added 2025-04-01 08:01:37 +0000 UTCThis update finishes Evelyn's conversation, I hoped to push out the next sequence with your first morning class and Rio/Patel, but that'll have to wait for the next update. This one ended up taking a while because Evelyn asks you a question that can prompt a variety of responses from both you and her. Hopefully you enjoy it.
EDIT (.526a): This features a finished purple bodyswap between Rio and Patel, though there's a couple red links for solo non-light variants with each. Perhaps more importantly, I also added a 'debug mode' while using cheats that you can find in the sidebar right underneath the checkpoint system. If you click it, it'll take you to a separate passage with links to the Monday of each game week, as well as a jump to the end of the Titus hunt. This is intended only for people that find themselves 'stuck' while using checkpoints elsewhere, so I'd recommend avoiding using it in other scenarios to get yourself into even bigger messes.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
Step 1) If you need a clean install, download the .510b ALL FILES pack from the above link.
Step 2) Unzip the all files pack to create your College Daze folder. From now on, you'll extract future updates and place them in this same folder, overwriting the previous content to update it.
Step 3) If necessary, download an update only pack like the one in this post.
Step 4) Unzip the update only pack and copy the contents of it.
Step 5) Paste these contents in your original 'all files' folder. Your computer will ask if you want to overwrite the existing HTML file. Click yes.
Step 6) If you did everything right, you should have an HTML file that you click to run the game and a fan-made Images folder that has folders from 'aug02' to '540'. If you find an 'Images' folder inside your 'Images' folder, that means you pasted it incorrectly and need to re-copy and paste stuff.
Step 7) When you run the game, the images and text should display as normal. If they don't, send me a message and we can try to figure this out further.

Ty for the debug mode. I'm sure you're tired of people breaking the game and complaining to you about it but I see broken logic and shattered passages after editing files as just a part of the game. Meta, even.

No, people already struggle with managing one checkpoint without breaking everything. If you want to edit your own file to do that, go ahead. There's also a mod on F95 already that also adds a checkpoint system.

Hi, I made an edit to the 525 version of the HTML to add 4 loadable cheat checkpoints instead of 1, makes it a lot easier to deal with branching within branching. You mind doing that for the original? I imagine most people don't really know how to use the console to navigate passages at will.

Yes, I have multiple projects. When College Daze has its next public release, I will switch back to Power of Will and then people can ask if I've abandoned College Daze.

Just a head's up for people wondering, the next CD update should be out tomorrow and then there'll still be a couple more events before a public release, but that should be April 27th.

You download the all files pack and then you download the update only pack and put the files in the same location. I don't know how to do it with android specifically but if you google "how to play twine games on android" you should be able to find a guide. Or you can go on the discord server and ask someone there to help.
