CD Weekly Update - .488a - Assistants Done - 6/13/24

With Ward's permanent personality alteration, I have no doubt that there are plenty of previous parts where this isn't going to be taken into account, so if you find any specific scenes that are accessible after this event where her dialogue should be different, just report them to me in the bug reports channel on Discord and I'll take care of them when I can.
Up next is going to be the Karen/Barberry stuff and then a quick meetup with the Assistant before we move on to the arrival of a character some people have been waiting quite a while for ;).
EDIT (.486a): This update features a body swap between Barberry and Suzie. Unfortunately, I had a pretty major issue after finishing this when it came time to actually compile the build. I'm still not sure what the cause of the issue is, but I was able to get someone else to successfully merge the build for me to share with you. There might be issues with it still, since there are many files in the game at this point, so if something doesn't work right, it might be a while before I come up with a good solution. I'm still thinking about how to handle this moving forward, but in the meantime I've still got stuff on the discord.
EDIT (.487a): As mentioned in the comments, I managed to resolve the issue that was preventing Twine from making new builds. Long story short, it was a Windows update that was breaking stuff. Anyway, the Karen + Barberry threesome is up now, but the accelerated pregnancy for Karen still has to get done. In addition, you'll find the PoW poll results below.
EDIT (.488a): I know it's been a couple of weeks since the last update was released, but the scene featuring your assistant, Sister Lisa, and her assistant is now available (depending on which ones are loyal to you, etc.). The next sequence will be Rio's mom arriving, and then there's a few other big scenes before the next public release on the 16th. I know polls still have to go up for this month, but there have also been a bunch of polls on discord for that game as well if you're interested in that.

Good news is that I stayed up instead of going to bed so I will have it uploaded in a sec. But yes, Windows is the absolute worst. They keep force reinstalling the update that breaks Twine.

So an update to the next release, the windows update that killed twine reinstalled itself. When I wake up I'm going to figure out a way to fix this, but it's way too late for me to deal with right now.

Just to let everyone know, the next release will be out tomorrow to cover the Assistants confrontation and the wrap-up for Karen's brown light. In addition, if you haven't checked out the discord mini-game, the epilogues for that are going to be out tomorrow as well so I'd recommend giving it a look.

Found a bug on .487a: Using the "cheat" option on a new game breaks the game at the end of the first night's dream sequence. Instead of saying (0/MAX) it changes to (0/$threshold[$redLevel]) etc. Any subsequent Light options are treates as Out of Energy.

Just to let everyone know, I have good news! It turns out it was a Windows update that was preventing Twine from compiling builds properly. I've uninstalled that update and everything should be back to normal now. I still need time to finish the next release, but at least I can compile them properly again and don't have to worry about weird workarounds for future releases. Thanks for being patient.
