π€£ Now that's hilariously accurate. It's the "best" when even the door knobs are completely painted. π
And over counters and tubs
π€£ and over the outlets/light switches, and on the door hinges, and over the previous paint vomit for an artsy 3D effect

Iβm not your landlord but I repainted a room in my house because it turned out this bar.

I thought blue was bounce

For me, the voice that came in for βmoney pleaseβ was from Jenny Slateβs character from Parks and Rec. lol
This reminds me of adventure time "video maker" where Jake's favorite line was "CHEQUE PLEASE"
That little smile at the end πππ

I have a room in my house thats three different colors. Not even close colors. It goes from whitest primer white to this ugly dark orangey tan with an eggshell in between.

Truth has been spoken this day
The house weβve been renting had electrical outlets painted over. A year after we moved in, they had the exterior painted what I can only describe as dog-shit brown.

Shelby Thomas
Or they purposely use that super cheap paint that comes off with just normal household cleaner and then refuse to return your security deposit cause their shirt paint job still looks like shit when you move out.
Hahaha yep. I had to have some changed because it was beyond saving. I don't understand.
This explains why my floor and tub have paint on them.
Interesting. Where I live, it's the tenants that do that π
Jewel Clarke
The tub...I had one apt where the landlord painted the tub π€¦π½ββοΈ

And ALL of the hinges
I'd be lucky if my landlord painted my apartment! Though to be fair if this is how they do it... I'm better off with grubby walls.
Anyone else have their landlord paint over the electrical sockets? Like THICC layers too.
Jen
Literally all of the doors in my apartment suffer from so much excess paint that they don't close properly.
Birds are Real
My former landlady tried to argue that she didn't need to replace the hideous, filthy, and oddly lumpy sink in the bathroom because she could just have her husband "repaint it with white boat paint". We compromised when I sourced a replacement sink that was cheaper than the paint would've been. WHO PAINTS A SINK?
So true. Lived in a place once where half the windows and cabinets couldnβt open because it was all painted shut
Here the go to color is this pale pee yellow, I would murder to live in a blue apartment at this point!
My house was a rental before we moved in. The entire place was pale salmon pink, it was hideous!

Your tone feels really pointed right now

For all the faults my landlord has, we have 100% permission to paint rooms however we want; he just won't pay for it. Luckily, paint is relatively cheap.

Yasssss hahaha

Universal.

I have heard that this particular colour is so common as itβs widely loathed and therefore one of the cheapest to buy. π¬
Jamie Moore
Just moved into a new apartment yesterday, and I have this problem, the paint work is dreadful. Very accurate.
Alan Berquist
Omg I stripped off no less than 20 layers from a bathroom window when I lived in Manhattan. On the plus side, the wood beneath was perfectly preserved.
Keyo
LOL Why is this so true!! With the exception of my current apartment, my landlords restored it (it was an old farm house/barn) and built it all by hand but very other place I've ever lived, it just like "f- it, let me just straight up paint this window shut."
John Stevens
One of the reasons I will buy a house. I can take control. Baha ha hahaha HA! π
Rachel S
I got lucky cuz my apartment complex is protected by the historical society so they had to be really careful about what they did to it π
I felt this in my soul. π
Christian Prouty
All my door frames were painted and irs difficult to even shut the bathroom door
Ibraheem Saoud
Your horror comics are getting more realistic...
Michael Vandiver
This is too true. And this color! The last apartment I lived in, the landlord had this exact color on the outside of the house, along with red brick. It looked atrocious
Dirk
This is disgustingly accurate and im upset
I just moved into a new place and they painted the carbon monoxide detector π
Im glad this became a full fledged comic
