The vampires' reliance upon homeland soil certainly is an embuggerance. Matt Berry is a great musician. That will come up again throughout the series. Check out his Acid Jazz label and/or "Take My Hand", the theme song for his series Toast of London.

I love Laslo really leaning into Shauneeeeee being his best friend. Honestly it’s kind of lovely and shows an endearing side of him. We saw it to an extent during the episode where he hung out with Colin and they played with his car, and during his time as Jackie Daytona. Just as he’s a surprisingly loving husband to Nadja, he can also be a pretty good friend and cares about people (even humans) more than he lets on.

I think they mentioned in a previous episode that Laszlo's name is Leslie (they called him Leslie 'Laszlo' Cravensworth I think), so that kind of explains the English/non-English name. Edit: Just checked it haha - yep, it was Taika's character on video in s03e01 when he told them they were getting the Vampiric Council.

Interestingly, Kayvan Novak's parents are Iranian and Natasia Demetriou's dad is Greek Cypriot so I'd like to think their "home soil" is a nice nod to their families too.
