Using Entropy as the enemy is a masterstroke. While I continue to enjoy the story despite being somewhat very unrealistic at points, especially with how the military acted on US soil and making the story slightly annoying every now and then, this is actually a genius move. With Entropy you created a way of basically explaining almost everything illogical happening and laid foundation to a stupidly giant base to work from. Have to pull my hat for that one.

Lance Wheeler

The galaxy being 100,000 light year, means entropy is traveling over 4 times the speed of light.

Lovely ending 👋

John Doe

The Architect only has to wait a measly 10 years to see if the "monkeys with typewriters" do the impossible again with "time travel". :-) *My computer hiccuped and posted this comment twice. I removed one copy (above).

John Doe

The old G.I.G.O. rule still stands! Someone or thing had to program the original Architect's analytical parameters. Whether carbon/biological based or silicon, constructs tend to "think" within their lines.

John Doe

Nice recovery, dude! :-)

"Suddenly, Blake lost control of his body. He felt like a puppet as his limbs moved in accordance to someone else’s will. His body stepped backward, and sat within the high backed chair behind him. He panicked as his freedom was taken away, but was unable to scream in response." F*ck Around and Find Out! Yeah, keep mouthing off to the guy/thing that essentially owns your body/nanos. I Fracking Love This Chapter!!! It is time to pay the piper, baby!

Laura Pilkington

lol, sure. humans surprise you and can make a machine you don’t understand, but they failed. not buying it, architect

gideon ferrier

Right I thought it would be smarter. Just kill Blake and It might just happen

I don’t understand this line of thinking, the machine that sent him back in time, a phenomenon that even the AI can’t replicate, was built by humanity, and it successfully stopped the invasion, so how come they failed their induction?

Timothy Nugent

Don't give me ideas! Lol

Undead Writer

The funniest thing would be that the whole story ends right here and now. Boom! Earth and everyone gone. That would be freaking hilarious. The author would be like, “HA! Tricked you into liking a story! Welp! Now it’s gone! See ya suckers!” And then the epilogue is just all about Rajesh surviving as one of those teacher guys for the next species. We are left with the worst character in the bloody novel being the last chapter as a big F you to all the readers. XD

Undead Writer

Thanks for the chapter!

Josh

Isn't the Architect kind of... shortsighted for an extremly powerful AI? Like he isn't very creative in his problem solving, if it chose this name I expected it to be seeking different perspectives and stuff

Josh

Its ironic Blake despised everyone not believing his tale, yet he doesn't believe the Architect right away either. Of course its the thing he hates most but still

Timothy Nugent

Just wait till the next chapter.

So, the architect set up a situation where it is pretty much “ if you aren’t cheating, you’re not trying” and is now offended when humans pulled off the ultimate cheat of a second chance. He should be thinking that if humans did something so mind-bending, they might be the saviors of the universe.

Thundermike00

Facts! Completely thrown from left field to planet pluto

L Pedersen

Huh. I didn't expect that ending.

Jamison Schneider

Welp, Earth servers going down, turns out we're not worth the nano, hell of a ride everybody!

jerome

Well damn…automatically failing is crazy!!

Samuel Brendel

Big revelations. Though, if the architect is really interested in the time machine, why not let the conversion continue, in the hopes it reoccur?
