John Doe

I think he forgot about his plans to shower and change clothes. He has to stink bad by now. :-)

No, like the bunkhouse, they can change the permissions to allow guests in, everyone in, or just specific people. No monsters will spawn inside the faction territory, whether there is a shield or not. Walls will keep out SOME monsters, not all (some fly). Lack of water is a problem in dry areas with high population, such as phoenix, but Pinetop is up in the mountains with plenty of lakes around. Food will definitely be a problem, which they will need to expand upon quickly. However, scavenging is a decent stop-gap measure for a few weeks. I have already written the chapters where he establishes his first combat team, (besides him, obviously). There will also be far more in the future. Although, his legal issues will prevent him from mass recruiting.

I've been thinking, and I wanted to ask for clarification but do people *need* to join the faction to enter Blake's faction town when the invasion pops off? Can any kind of walls be constructed to hold off monster? Can as many people as possible be packed in like sardines? Furthermore, I think Blake is going about this wrong. The main contribution to death post-invasion has been stated to be a lack of food and water and eventually monsters. Good is solved from the exceedingly fast farming, no idea for the water yet but some vast acquisition of non-electric water filters could help there, finally a semi-trained fighting force could help protect people from monsters. Tldr; I think Blake is far too mono-focused on the Faction and could save more by actually training and equipping people to fight the eventual disaster.

It surprised him too! 😀

Thanks for the chapter! Little weird that she agreed so quickly. I mean, that’s a big thing to take in even with the screens

If Blake was dressed in modern paramilitary gear or a suit, he would get way better reactions than what he got.

I don't know enough about these characters to comment on how "realistic" each of their reactions are, but I find that the contrast is both really jarring, and also somewhat satisfying. As someone who does cosplay at conventions and goes to RenFaires, the stares and reactions playout well to me. People really just kinda look at you funny or ask for pictures mostly, that is really the only thing you are missing there. The selfie asks are way more common than you are showing here.

Sean

I'm suddenly getting an image of 50 nail technicians eventually leading a small battalion.
