He will not. He is presented with a unique opportunity to attempt a scenario 2 levels above him. After he is successful with that, or fails, he will create a more general spellset.

Gotta wonder, surely Blake isn’t planning to keep picking new skills and spells solely to best beat specific rifts, right? That seems like a horribly sort sighted plan that is guaranteed to screw him over in the long run.

This. He would need to upgrade it 4 or 5 times before it was useful for him. Not only can he not do ghat yet because of his level, but the cost doubles each upgrade. 10, 20, 40, 80, 160, etc. It gets expensive fast.

But people also don’t upgrade their skills much. Maybe the combat skills have awesome stuff 10 upgrades in?

From what I remember in the early chapters he said people normal get a general skill for their weapon but since all it does is teach you how to use your weapon he doesn't need it.

In chapter 48 he says his magic resistance is at 19.9 after an upgrade. Is this meant for an earlier point in the story?

Are there any general skills that are useful in combat like sword mastery? I know he is a combat master already but now that he has nano in spades he can maybe learn Jedi techniques or something.

Interesting that the architect gives him high level faction directives and gives his subordinates the intermediate directives to achieve the leader’s directives. It’s teaching him how to lead.

Also would it make sense to add how many times a spell upgraded and the xp percentage as he will have a shit ton of them even before he gets access to the advanced ones.
